Sunset by Australasia Manchester is soon to become your new favourite beach bar. In its own words, Sunset by Australasia is where food is for sharing, drinks are for loving and the mood is for breathing in like a sunset. If you’re familiar at all with Manchester then you’ll already know Australasia, the immensely popular Spinningfields bar just off Deansgate that can do no wrong, and Sunset is the newest, most unique addition to the family. From the menus you can expect a gorgeous selection of sushi and light Asian-fusion dishes, as well as a daily Asian-inspired afternoon tea and quality cocktails. There’s little not to love about what we’re sure is going to become a Manchester institution. Reservations at Sunset by Australasia, on The Avenue opposite Mulberry, are essential.

Aside from afternoon tea, from noon until 6pm Sunset by Australasia Manchester serves light Asian-fusion dishes that range from sushi, sashimi and nigiri to Sunset bento boxes and shabu shabu – a hot granite bowl filled with finely sliced vegetables, rice noodles, an aromatic broth and your choice of meats or tofu. This being mainly Japanese food, much of it is gluten-free and there are vegan options available as well.
