Sushi Nara - Guildford

Always exceptional food. The sushi is so fresh, try the grilled salmon nigiri, wonderful. Service is calm and efficient even in busy times. Highly recommended.

Great quality food but unfortunately the menu didn’t give an accurate description of the dishes - my friend who is allergic to salmon was served sushi with salmon inside! It’s a bit concerning that staff were unaware of this discrepancy between menu and dish...

Fantastic service and the food was absolutely delicious! We also arrived about 40 mins early and they were still able to seat us. Highly recommend.

Guildford is lucky to have such a good restaurant. Delicious sushi, good cooked food too, and great staff. Our favourites are the takoyaki, aburi and dolsot bibimbap. Nomnom

Great food, great place. The desserts were amazing! In my taste, the pop background music spoiled a bit the nice atmosphere created by the decorations and furniture.

The staff was very friendly, the food was very good, the bathroom was very clean, the atmosphere was very quiet and relaxed, the price was right and not very expensive.

We go to Sushi Nara often as this is a great restaurant! Always, food is to die for and stuff professional and friendly. If you love sushi this is a restaurant for you!

Always fresh, always welcoming and some lovely veg dishes. The new avocado "sandwiches" are a wonderful surprise and really worth a try. The kimchi is to die for!

Pricey but wonderful food and hospitality. Highly recommended if you can afford it. Just wish they offered coffee afterwards! - I know it's not in keeping but I always feel that's the one thing missing. :-)

Loved the meal and the sake, the perfect start of a sushi quest. Would definitely come here again and the staff were most friendly, putting up with us as we were there until close.

Sushi Nara was such a lovely restaurant, very relaxed atmosphere. Amazing authentic Japanese food and good service and it was reasonably priced. Will definitely be going back!

It is a very good restaurant. My only complaint is that they start cooking your main course while you are eating your first, in our case a sushi starter. So the main course arrives literally seconds after finishing the first course. This has happened three times now. My advice don't order the second course until the first is finished. But quality great.

Really good service. Food was fresh and prepared to standard that is expected of a genuine Japanese restaurant. Will visit again. I do not however have a loyalty card given to me though!! As far as atmosphere is concerned, it was a little too dark and also a very noisy baby at the background did cause problem when trying to engage in conversation and in enjoyment of our food. I do love children and have children of my own but would never allow them to compromise other customers' pleasure!

Great food, good service! Huge selection and plenty of options if you don't want sushi. We will be going back again. I reccomend the Nara Bento.

The food here is lovely. Tables are quite close together which I find a little bit uncomfortable. Service is fine however after our first drink we weren't asked if we would like anything further. Would definitely go back though because of the quality of food.

Delicious! Welcomed on time and shown to our table. All the staff were polite and helpful with the menu. Not the cheapest but certainly the best sushi I've tasted in a longtime.

Exceptional quality food. Even compared to the restaurants we used to go to in london this is some of he beat sushi we've had. We love the fusion element. Helpful and friendly staff too. Will be going back regularly.

For people that like sushi, this restaurant is very good. The food was excellent and the service was quick, courteous and friendly. For others (that are going because the rest of the family is) the food was also very good, but there could have been a slightly better selection. Overall I would recommend this restaurant

Fabulous fresh food, attentive if slightly rushing hosts (I think this is just a training issue, clearing plates while we're still chewing our last mouthful is a bit rude). But for the food alone I will be returning, definitely worth a visit.

The sushi was really tasty and very filling. The waitress was very attentive, maybe slightly too attentive as we were chatting and were asked to order at least 3 times 😂😂

Lovely food and great service. There is a wide variety of good quality sushi, but the mains are not to be missed, especially the chicken katsu curry and the chicken teriyaki.

Fantastic sushi and great service. Thoroughly recommend their signature platter - it is without doubt some of the best sushi I have ever had. We'll definitely be back!!

Greatly handled fusion of Japanese and Korean. My daughter who's vegan was able to find a good selection of interesting food, rating it one of her best eating out experiences. My boys, who are both fussy eaters were happy to push themselves slightly out of their comfort zone and found things on the menu to satisfy them. I loved it, knowing this type of cuisine, found it to be handled authentically. It was only my wife who's a bit unused to this food, who felt a bit lost by the menu - perhaps a helper menu with some photos would assist here. Very helpful staff too.
