Inattentive staff, no welcome greeting - finally showed to our table, not offered a drink until we called a member of staff, food bland and pretty tasteless. Mango chutney was pure liquid. Would not return!

What more can i say? The food is always very good and the atmosphere very friendly. We all love going there.

Wonderful evening spent celebrating my 50th birthday! The food was so tasty as usual, fantastic atmosphere, service was to perfection. There is No doubt this is the best Indian restaurant in Dorset! See you all again soon!

Brilliant time lovely place and beautiful food best place ever

This has now become our ‘go to’ restaurant for Indian food. We have also recommended to friends and they’ve complimented the food and experience. Friendly and efficient and the food is delicious. Will always return.

Food was tasty enough, but not outstanding . Service somewhat disorganised.

Food fab service was good but at times it was difficult to get the attention from a waiter did not spoil a lovely evening

Overall good, a couple of things weren't to our liking. The prawns were alitte tough which was a bit disappointing as I don't eat meat and i don't feel it was very authentic Sri lankan dish as I am from Sri lanka myself. The ratha wasn't what we expected but was dealt with efficiently and taken off our bill. The tarka dahl was to die for! It hasn't put me off to return

Excellent food, but was given incorrect bill then when bill came it was incorrect by £30!

The food was absolutely amazing! The service was on the slower side, but that was to be expected on a Saturday evening at peak times. There was also a very large table next to us too. But the food made it worth the wait.

Excellent restaurant good food effecient service great staff pleasant surroundings. Always a pleasant greeting when you arrive, I know one of the owners, he also part owns a post office I call on

The atmosphere was lively but not rushed in any way. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was lovely although unfortunately I didn’t like my choice of main course which was Chicken Tawa. We had to make a real effort to get attention of the waiting staff but it all worked out and we were not made to feel we had to hurry away once we had finished our meal. We were made to feel welcome and enjoyed our time together there.

Having telocated to Bournemouth under 2 yrs ago we had seen this Restaurant but hadn't tried it, so 4 of us decided now was the time. We looked online and saw they had very good reviews and had won awards. We were not disappointed.when you enter from Poole Road the vastness inside is amazing. It was packed full but I had reserved online. The staff were welcoming and the service and food was amazing. Served beautifully and tasted wonderful. I would definitely recommend and we would go again for sure.

Excellent food here. This is without question the best Indian restaurant in the area. I had onion bhaji which was not overly greasy, and full of flavour and a biryiani which was a generous portion and well spiced.

We always enjoy a meal at Taj Mahal. Menu has plenty of variety offering something for all tastes. Staff are friendly and helpful. Service is efficient.

The food was excellent. My Dad thoroughly enjoyed his 70th Birthday Celebration. The staff were very helpful with setting up the cake and provided plates to serve it up.

Quick service lovely food. Check bill quanties differed from order and one thing ordered and put on bill we didn't receive. Drink order was wrong but was changed quickly

Nice meal but average compared to other Indian restaurants. Our waiter lacked experience in customer service. He didn’t take our order properly, leaving out a guest and could not open a bottle of wine!

Erstclasiches Menu Und Service. Es hat und sheer gut geschmeckt. Wir haben nicht Lange Auf dad Essen gewartet und dad Essen war sehr heiss und sehr schön presentiert.

Bad experience. Restaurant virtually empty, but asked to move tables after being seated for 10 minutes. 3 soft drinks cost £9 and 2 were sent back as soda water was flat - didn't bother to send them back again. Mild curries were more like vindaloo, far too spicy. Unpleasant. Not a chance of a return visit. Very disappointing. Told the waiter, knocked £2 off a £44 bill. No tip.

Good food, friendly staff, nicely decorated, reasonably priced, will definitely be going back. Park for free in surrounding roads after 6pm, or car park minutes away.

Fantastic food. It was very tasty and i cant remember the last time i has anything as flavoursome. The service was great. And it was a lovely venue too.

We were celebrating our Son's 16th birthday. Excellent service. No waiting for drinks or starters. Food was excellent. Thanks to all the staff at The Taj Mahal. They also helped us serve a cake we took in.

The food was excellent, and although really busy the service was really good. We were a party of 9 and all of the meals were served at the same time and all hot in temperature. The staff were curteous but also very friendly and had a laugh with us. Overall i would thoroughly recommend this restaurant and we will be going yet again.

This restaurant has been one of my favourites for 40+ years. I have no hesitation recommending it to others. For sure we'll be back again!

Girls reunion night out booked at the Taj Mahal in westbourne never been here before. Lovely food and service. Will definitely be eating here again.

Great restaurant. 11 of us and the food was great and prepared quickly. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant. It is always consistently good with tasty food.

food was good and the service was good as well. Décor was nice and the loos were clean. The menu could be explained a bit more for the Tuesday as it has specials on, never got three courses for the cost

Meal and service was first class. Only thing missing for us was some sitar music. We enjoyed our meal and will come back. Thank you.

Still the best Indian restaurant in Bournemouth by far. Delicious freshly prepared food, extensive and well explained menu, friendly attentive staff and a relaxed atmosphere.

We were given good service. Everything was clean and the food was both hot and tasty. The restaurant has a nice ambiance. I'll be going there again.
