The menu is packed with familiar and less-familiar Persian delights, and it’s this confident, diverse offering that is likely to draw customers back to 73 Haverstock Hill time and again.
Tandis’ mission is to bring the best Persian/Iranian food to hungry Londoners (and
now deliver it to their doors as well), and it’s working. Located at 73 Haverstock Hill
in Chalk Farm – within easy distance of Camden Town and Primrose Hill – Tandis
has already garnered rave reviews from critics and customers alike – and even a
raised eyebrow from Michelin. As for the food, even the most knowledgeable fans of
Middle Eastern cuisine are likely to find something new.
The menu features a selection of cold and warm starters that are likely to keep you deciding for far too long. No bother, though – order up a bold shiraz from their wine list while you read on. Tandis’ grilled dishes are all prepared with an in-house saffron marinade, an exquisite touch that lends itself to a real sense of authenticity, while once again the stews and considered selection of vegetarian dishes are going to make choosing difficult. With its stylish reclaimed interior and friendly service, Tandis is a place that will have Londoners heading back to 73 Haverstock Hill for more.
We were staying nearby and found Tandis on an internet search, we were absolutely delighted we did. The service was fantastic and the food some of the best we've ever had! We had the fresh herbs salad and soup starter with some fantastic Persian flatbread. Both were fresh tasting and beautifully presented. Then we had chicken and lamb kebabs and lamb chops both with rice and salad, another large plate of food but so perfectly cooked, tender meat and beautiful sides. We finished with a chocolate mint bomb, like eating an ice-cream after eight mint, and a lemon and limoncello bomb a beautifully tart lemon ice-cream. We also had a great bottle of prosecco to accompany the meal. We will definitely be back next time we're in London.
Good service, delicious food have never had Persian food but the stews were unique in flavor and the bread quite special.the grillls were ordinary like othgver grills
Great quality and taste has always been consistent through out the years. That is recipe for success along with their good service. Very well done.
