Service very good friendly team most welcoming. Food good we had a selection from the Tapas. Crockery was cold so meant the tasty food wasn't hot..which was a shame. Our main issue has to be when we arrived we were given a menu that had a set menu or Tapas dishes. Ok but whilst eating other tables were brought food that was not on the menu..when we asked we were advised there is a classics menu but you had to ask for it...mmm can't ask for something you do not know exists... again staff accepted responsibility which is great customer service, however we would have preferred to have been given both menus as some tables clearly did... this was obviously a directive instruction to staff as we were told exactly the same thing by 2 people word for word..poor decision by management this was clearly not staff error and shame on you for what could have been top marks you are letting your staff and restaurant down!!

we met friends under difficult circumstances (coronavirus) so the place was very quiet. we enjoyed the food and feel the staff did well. hopefully they'll thrive when all this is over.

The "triple cooked chips" were frozen chips, and certainly not as described or as served up to me last time I went here. Presumably the restaurant is either cutting costs or their supplier let them down? Either way, frozen chips certainly shouldn't have been served, and when pointed out to the waiter his reaction was to say "I'll pass it on to the kitchen" and walked off...

Excellent value on the 3 for £20 menu, not many places where you’ll get better value / quality. Salt cod was lovely and the beef picanta was superb.

All good. The Garden peas with haddock and chips were not the best. I expected mushy peas but maybe I didn't read the menu.

Unfortunately the vegetarian mushroom pie had very little filling so was tasteless

Food was good, the pub was lovely, service was ok but the waiting staff had no idea where we were at with our meal, we were offered the pudding menu after our starter, also once we were served our mains no one came to check if we were happy with our food. A little more attention to detail would go along way and make all the difference.

We were unfortunately very disappointed having visited on many occasions before and being highly delighted.. the menu had changed and was nothing liked we’d expected. We’d taken friends too on our recommendation.. I don’t think we’ll be back again for a while.. to us, it had a winning formula, why change it?

Great pub with a garden conservatory. The menu is what you expect from a gastro independent pub like the Tap n Run. The service wasn’t as good as previous experiences, but the food is well worth the visit.

Over an hour wait between courses as our main was not processed until we questioned the waiter. At least 10 tables arrived after us but ate before us. Extremely poor performance

A fabulous pub with excellent staff. Having spent 15 years living in France we returned to the UK in December and adopted the tap and run as our local, quintessentially a community pub where you receive a very warm friendly welcome. Nothing is to much trouble for the staff who provide outstanding service, thank you all and well done. Always a wonderful welcome for our little dog who thinks it’s her second home.

This was our first visit and we will certainly be back again. The food was excellent and the staff were very efficient and friendly.

Really nice atmosphere and yummy food at a decent price. Not just a regular pub. The only issue is the car park can be quite busy.

My third visit, this time took group of 12 year olds for a birthday meal as a treat. All enjoyed it, most chose from the two course kids menu which is good value though only has a few choices.

Excellent food and service, I will definitely be back when I’m next in the area.
