Founded way back in 2002 (remember Blair-mania? No? Us neither...) the Taste of Cyprus Greek restaurant on Croydon Road in Kent’s Beckenham quickly became a mainstay of the area’s dining scene. Serving the energetic food of Cyprus and the Greek mainland, this is a local eatery with plenty to offer regulars and dilettantes alike. Taste of Cyprus invite you to bring your friend and family to taste the Cypriot way of eating – heed the advice.
Always lovely. The service is very nice and the staff are very nice. The proportion sizes are huge and the atmosphere is lovely. Thank you
Food was ok, a bit salty in my opinion Service was ok
The team behind Taste of Cyprus Greek restaurant on Croydon Road in Kent’s Beckenham are rightly proud of their restaurant’s commitment to traditionally prepared Cypriot and Greek food, served generously in their comfortable dining room. Moments from London, Taste Of Cyprus has turned its back on the fripperies of the capital’s dining scene and returned to classic, Greek dining instead. Expect a warm welcome and affordable menus, London doesn’t matter here.
The Taste of Cyprus dining room is reminiscent of family meals when you were a kid. There’s tablecloths, candles and waiters keen to learn your name. The menu covers all the classics of Greek dining: kleftiko, stifado, dolmadakia, moussaka and some less familiar fare for the bold. Croydon Road in Kent’s Beckenham is an unlikely spot for a family-orientated restaurant of the Taste of Cyprus’s character, but their winning formula has been rewarded with a legion of loyal fan. A short drive from London, this is the kind of laidback restaurant to take all the family out for a pleasant meal and a taste of Greek culture and cuisine.
