Thai House

My husband and myself have been to this restaurant many times and the food is superb.We took four other family members with us last night and again the food was great BUT the service was poor...when I reserved over the phone I did not get a call back so I reserved online to be sure..when we were seated we ordered drinks and that was fine.Our food orders were taken our drinks arrived then our starters appeared -great.Then the staff seemed to disappear so we couldn't order more drinks.Eventually the waitress came to clear away the starters and we ordered more drinks.When the main courses came we had to ask for fresh cutlery and once again the staff disappeared.No one asked us if we wanted more drinks, any coffee or dessert so we paid the bill and left feeling let down after praising the place so much to our family.IT WASNT EVEN A BUSY NIGHT....

Excellent as usual. Really can’t fault it. Had pot of jasmine tea, the mixed vegetarian starter and green curry with coconut rice. All were spot on.

Excellent food and service. Me and all my friends enjoyed all the food and thought the price was very fair. Thanks for your hospitality. We will come again

Always without fault. My favourite Hull restaurant. The service is very polite and prompt and the food is always delicious and of the highest standard.

Lovely food, fantastic service in well designed surroundings! Staff were so polite and helpful, the prices were also very reasonable for the quality of food we received, would highly recommend!

Food was nice and it’s a nice atmosphere but the staff were overly attentive. I had to tell 3 different waiting staff that we were not yet ready to order.

The whole experience is worth going back for time and time again. Food is outstanding, very quick service. Able to sit and relax for the evening with a good atmosphere

We are regular diners at Thai House and always experience good food and great service. My personal favourites are the soups and green curry dishes. It would be good if they’d add lychees to the desert menu.

The food was amazing! And the service was also exceptional! This was my husbands first visit, he has never been a big fan of Thai food, but he has now been converted. We will definitely be going back.

Lovely atmosphere, fantastic food and friendly efficient staff. We went for the extensive vegan menu and were not disappointed. Will definitely be visiting again very soon.

The food was exceptional, the staff were attentative and we weren't rushed to finish our meals even though the restaurant was filling up. Highly recommend.

The food was really good. The atmosphere was great, with lots of customers. The staff were very pleasant and looked after us well. It was a decent price, not too expensive.

The menu offered a broad choice of options. A pleasant setting with welcoming service in the heart of Princes Avenue. All courses were reasonable portions and made for a fine meal. Recommended.

The food was delicious as usual but the staff were disappointing. They were rude and made us feel like we were puttting in them asking for a drink and extra prawn crackers. The service, which is usually excellent, was very slow with a 30 minute wait between the end of the starter and the arrival of the main course. Disappointing.

Food was lovely, however service was very poor. Waiting for someone to take our drinks order, asking for a desert menu, having to ask to order deserts, having to ask for more drinks then finally having to ask where a desesrt was when the rest of the party had theirs. It really spoiled our experience if I am honest. The restaurant was quiet so there was no excuse.

We arrivedand were tols our table was still occupied but another table was made ready for us which was great. The service andfood were excellent. Everything arrive hot to the table can't wait to go back

I have dined at Thai House numerous times over the years and have always been very happy with the experience. The food is consistently delicious!

Food was excellent and really enjoyed by all our party, more than we could eat but without prompting the waiter asked what we wanted to take home with us. I would recommend The Thai House to anybody who wants an authentic Thai meal

Authentic thai food. Love the green papaya salad and sea bass. Lovely meal as always. Relaxing atmosphere. Friendly, helpful staff. Definitely recommend it. Will return soon.

Came to Thai house on Saturday evening. The food was gorgeous and it was a great atmosphere. Will definitely be returning again in the future

Really nice Food. lovely staff .nice place too would definitely go back. It was our Anniversary and the you staff member brought us a cake with ice cream lovely.

This isn’t the first time we’ve been to The Thai House, it’s so good that we keep going back, excellent food and choices of food there is something to accommodate every fussy eater. Excellent.

Great food as always but last night the service was quite lax. Eventually had to call waitress over to take our order. The starter came within a reasonable time but when we had finished that, the mains took forever to come. Also we wasn’t asked once if we would like a drink.

We come here regularly, at least once a month (more if we can!). Excellent food, very authentic. The staff are friendly, fast and efficient. I’d recommend Mixed Starter A, the Pad Thai and the Chicken Massaman!

Great place, we love to visit Thai house as the food is always spot on and the service is good too. our most recent visit was a good as every.

The food was OK, but the service very poor. We received starters promptly, but mains failed to appear. After about an hour, on pressing them it turned out they’d forgotten about us. Apologies were issued and our mains arrived quickly. Pad Thai felt undercooked, with noodles verging on al dente. The manager appeared to say we’d have our bill reduced to compensate, but when it arrived that appeared not to be the case. When I queried this, it turned out we’d been spared the charge of a bottle of water - something we hadn’t ordered and had twice requested unsuccessfully to be removed from our table. Overall, food is reasonable but service deficiencies mean I couldn’t recommend and wouldn’t return.

Went with friends on a Friday evening. Nice environment, great food and lovely staff. Would definitely return. Vegans, pescatarians and meat eaters all very well catered for.

Great atmosphere and food. Well loved. Portions could be a tiny bit larger. Longtime favourite. Good for vegetarians too. Visit anytime! Papaya salad is recommended, but not spicy.
