We were a party of six. We had just run in the Goodwood running festival. All we needed was a couple of beers and a good roast dinner and that was what we got. Perfect. We’ll be back next year!!

We were there on a very busy Saturday (Goodwood Revival), so expected things to be hectic. In fact, we were pleasantly surprised! Despite the numbers of people in the garden, the service in the restaurant was good. On the whole we were happy with the food. I was slightly disappointed with the dressed crab. It came in a large crab shell, with some firm white meat, but there was a sloppy consistency to the rest, which seemed to indicate it had been "thinned down".

Very large family party there. Noise level fairly high but goes to show that they're family friendly. Food good. Been before. Will go again.

We ordered filet steak and were served either rib eye or sirloin. We told the server who said he’d tell the kitchen. Absolutely no response at all. Not the servers problem but come on chef kitchen & management how can you think you can get away with this?

One of our party was 80 years old. He only wanted soup. He said it was very good two others had only one coarse. Welsh Welsh rarebit which they said was great. Other had ham egg and ham bubble and squeak which he really enjoyed. I had whitebait starter then crispy beef salad a little to sweet but good. We were very satisfied.

Sat outside in the sun. Landlord had reserved tables for us and put up a sun unbrella. Got drinks from bar and then landlord brought over menus and in our own time took our order. All arrived just as we had requested as we had to accommodate the impatience of a 5 and 7 Yr old. All delicious. Big bonus to have a big garden for the children to play in without having to worry about them. The landlord was excellent and could not have been more helpful. A really family friendly pub highly recommend it.

Recommended as a good place to eat by Alice at Tinwood where we were staying, we found a nice atmosphere on arrival with a real fire in the bar. Service was great and the food delicious.

Unfortunately food was cold and meat was chewy, cost high as well at £15 per roast, not our best experience I am afraid. Service only fair

I wanted to book a table for our family of 11 for a typical Sunday Lunch I was advised to go to Angelsea Arms. We couldn't have been more looked after for a group of 6 adults 5 small kids and a dog. The food was great.

Good food, selection of wines. Busy FoS day so service slow and not it’s usual quality. But walking distance from our accommodation so will visit again. Had a band playing which we could have done without after noise of FoS.

Friendly staff. Pub needs a bit of TLC as dining area very basic and not cosy. Whitebait starter was delicious and the steak was well cooked. Sadly the dressed crab had bits of shell and sinew in it. Also several beers were unavailable so the choice was very limited.

Very relaxed pub, with some good food. Would really recommend the baked Camembert. Really polite and helpful staff, who went above and beyond expectations to make our evening really nice. Including arranging a lift for us back to the place we were staying at, when there were no taxis available.

It was a beautiful day so probably unexpectedly busy. However service was patchy, often left waiting as if forgotten. Weren't accepting card payment but not pre-warned although had our contact as had booked ahead. Luckily had enough cash. Sunday roast was nice, good portion of meat but distinct lack of vegetables. Puddings on the expensive side at £6.50. The 'ladies' was dated and room not clean. Only one toilet so a queue. Prefer other places
