The Artisan Restaurant in Notting Hill brings something completely new to the foodscape in West London. It’s a modern Italian restaurant that incorporates Asian flavours as well. Quite the combination, we’re sure you’ll agree, but one that works thanks to the efforts of head chef Roberto Vezzani and his team. Expect dishes ranging from Japanese yuzu mustard baby chicken to squid-ink hummus and tarragon chimichurri or tender grilled octopus with artichoke salad. Then, The Artisan Restaurant serves expertly crafted drinks as well, such the Italian Fizz, an olive oil-washed gin with homemade bay leaf syrup, elderflower and prosecco. You’ll find Artisan in the heart of Notting Hill on Portobello Road where it’s wise to arrive armed with an advanced reservation.

Service sluggish and almost hostile at times particularly by waiter called Donato. Pizza very average. Friends fish was good. Won’t be going back.
