More about the restaurant: The Avenue
It’s wrong to assume that one should look to Glasgow’s city centre for a refined wine bar and restaurant experience. Here in Bishopbriggs, on the fringes of Greater Glasgow, a thriving retail and culinary culture has sprung up around the train station, concentrated along Kirkintilloch Road. The Avenue is one such place, originally functioning as a fully fledged wine bar before opening a restaurant alongside. It’s atmosphere is fun, casual and relaxing with live music events on the weekends suitable for dinners with friends, the whole family or for large special occasions. So for exceptional fare and a carefully curated wine list, book your spot at The Avenue now – you won’t be disappointed.

Thinking about making a The Avenue booking?
Located in Bishopbriggs on the outskirts of Glasgow, The Avenue is a spot that’s seriously worth the effort. Established in 2013, The Avenue sold itself for a long time as a wine bar through and through. However, with the opening of the restaurant in 2016, The Avenue is now a jack of all trades when it comes to drinking and dining. What’s better than casual drinks with friends sampling delicious wine and some tapas? Not much, in our opinion, and we love the portobello mushrooms stuffed with goats cheese, caramelised onion and walnut crust, half rack of sticky bbq ribs, king prawns with chorizo, garlic and chilli oil or five spice calamari with side salad, to name just a few.
But it’s not all about small plates and here at The Avenue you can find international dishes from Italian pasta to Indian delicacies, big American burgers to Scottish classics. We recommend the smokey & the bandit that’s brimming with smoked ham hock, mature Scottish cheese and jalapenos, or the housemade lasagna just like nonna used to make. Alternatively, pop in on Sunday for The Avenue’s ever-popular and moreish roast with all the trimmings. So for a relaxing affair, book a table at this Bishopbriggs wine bar and restaurant today. Located on Kirkintilloch Road, it’s easily accessible from the centre of Glasgow meaning there’s no excuse.
