Lovely food and service, waitress was helpful and great place to stay.

This was our first visit to The Bedford. We were struck by the warm welcome we got from all the staff. They were very polite and professional and made our night extra special. The decor and ambience had a classy young vibrant style. Loved it. The god was faultless, tasty and well presented and hot. Loved it

Food was ok but service was terrible. All orders were a mess, we ate food we didn’t order, all of us at different times. The tables around us experienced exactly the same. There seemed to be a lot of new staff, who couldn’t cope with the weekend’s crowds. Very disappointing...

Loved our visit here! We honestly visited because The Bedford was a place that Ed Sheeran performed at and we wanted to see where he started. The place is very nicely decorated and the food was excellent. Staff was nice as well. Try the baked Camembert, you won’t regret it!

We had the Sunday roast beef. Very tasty but a bit tough. Could do without the music in the dining room, too.

We went to the Bedford as we had the 50% summer voucher. The steaks and squid were both good, but not great. We were sat in the bar rather than the restaurant so the atmosphere wasn’t great and the table service was slow. They need to update the menu and add bernaise sauce as an option for steaks. I’m glad I didn’t pay full price

Service was a bit slow, took ages to get my drink, which was only an orange juice and soda so a bit disappointing in that. The roast was good but not enough roast potatoes or gravy and when we asked for extra, we got charged for it, which is a bit cheeky! Would go again but maybe have something different....

After very pleasant first dining experience in the quiet restaurant area this time without warning placed in the noisy pub area - not pleasant even though food was as good as the last time.

A wonderful historic venue in the centre of Balham. However, the food was worst steak and chips I have ever eaten in my entire life. The chips were clearly warmed up from a previous day and the steak was like a leather boot. For £25.00 I would have been better off going to McDonalds.
