The Bedford

The staff were lovely, very helpful and attentive. I had the pork fillet with tuna mayo to start, it was amazing and the rib eye steak for main, which for my money is the best steak in Balham!

Staff were pleasant. Three of us had the Christmas lunch - it was ok. The fourth had fish and chips, and that looked quite nice. Coffee was good and so was the atmosphere.

Despite pre booking was given seats at the bar to eat, instead of a table. Bar was already overcrowded with people trying to order drinks!!! Well below expectations

Recently re-opened (Dec 2018), the pub was busy and looked good. Menu was good pub food - burgers, fish and chips, steak etc and service was attentive. Recommended

The venue has been done up really nicely so we were keen to go and give it a try! Unfortunately, it took 30 minutes for us to order a drink & then they took a long time bringing us our order, after another long wait we finally managed to flag someone down for us to order food & that too took ages to come. After our starter was taken away we actually had to chase our main course TWICE! It finally arrived 1hour 45mins after we arrived for our lunch! The food was okay but lacked seasoning & the extra oomph of flavour - just a bit bland overall. We will try it again as it was very busy, but the service time does leave something to be desired. Room for improvement!

Food was lovely but service was atrocious! Total shambles from start to finish, having to chase everything from drinks to condiments. It took ages for our mains to arrive and at one point not a single diner in the full dining room had any food. Some staff were good but others were less than useless and really spoiled my birthday lunch.

Not the same pub. The vibe has changed and so has the clientele. Quite disappointing as this used to be our local. The decor is lovely.

The venue was extremely busy, I assume this was down to it recently re-opening. The waiter/waitress seemed rushed and service could have been better. The food was OK. It was served warm, not hot which spoilt the meal. Maybe it's just teething problems.

Great food, lovely venue, and lovely helpful staff. The burgers were super tasty and it is close to Balham Station. Just exit immediately to the right, can't miss it.

Super food and lovely service on a really busy first week for the Bedford. We will come again. Had a delicious roast at 5pm when often places have run out. All very pleased.
