Excellent food and service, a little tight on the table for four people, but did not spoil the evening

Rude waiter, we weren’t checked on after receiving our meal. No plates cleared and Pudding forgot and not brought out.

We arrived early and were shown straight to our table. Service and food was fantastic. No complaints from anyone in our party

    Important Update:

We chose of the lunch seat menu £20 for two courses. Myself and my cousin and Chicken Burgr and chips. No salad on the side, only chips, just a small slither of what could be chicken heavily battered and overcooked. Nice sauce and chips. Crumble and custard afterwards wasn't nice. Ext remely runny watery rhubarb and strawberry, didn't see any visible fruit and scattered nuts and whatever on the top. Custard as ok. I didn't think it was value for money and wouldn't go back again. Nor would I recommend to anyone. On top of that my cousin had just had surgery on her ankle and her leg was covered in plaster of Paris. She could hardly walk with her crutches. I did ask, when booking, for a round table in an open area which was accessible. We were shown to a table up several steps in a right hand corner which had 6 chairs around it when it was only capable of taking 4. My sister, who was with us and has back and leg difficulties and is 80 years of age, had to squeeze up the corner. She too has recently had surgery on her back. The Waitress said Oh, you can go down there at the back of the pub but you'd be on your own. I noticed the area I was in was fully occupied and I got the impression we were all squeezed into this area for the convenience of the Staff and not customers. Not impressed with the Bell to be honest but then again may be different had we have chosen off the Main Menu or gone in the evening. Convince me otherwise.

Food is generally okay but find it’s not value for money, service can also be slow at times.
