My vegetable thali was delicious and my husbands lamb karahi was melt in your mouth and the service was very GOOD. Will be going again ! Stevey & Mike

Food is well above average, although some dishes are quite pricy. The restaurant is very noisy when full, making conversation difficult, and the food was very slow to come, although this may have been caused by a large birthday party taking up half the restaurant. Would go again, but not at a busy time.

The food was excellent, as usual. The service was rather slow as they seemed to be prioritising takeaways over us, even though we were the only people sat in. Having said that, the stag are very friendly and knowledgable, and are very good at recommending dishes to suit your palette. The Lamb Shank (Paya) is absolutely delicious, as was the Karahi. My gosht hydrabadi was very nice, the addition of coconut cream made it unlike curries I'd had before, almost Thai-like in flavour. This is the best curry house in the area by some distance. Highly recommended and I will be back again soon!

The welcome was great - the service was excellent all round. The food was well cooked and beautifully presented. Very tasty as well. All round an excellent experience. I will return for sure - this will be my regular curry house from now on.

The food was good but the service wasn't. We did not get the cutlery for one of us even though we pointed it out several times so we had to grab it from another table ourselves. The staff didn't seem to want us there whatsoever.

Food was great, however, table was not ready despite being booked in advance. Had to wait approx. 15 mins to be seated and then had to wait further to receive menus and order. Disappointing as had heard great reviews prior to visit. Hopefully it was just a bad night for the restaurant.
