Given the current climate surrounding COVID-19, many authorities are placing restrictions on social gatherings. In the best interest of everyone’s safety, we are continuously updating the availability of our partner restaurants to reflect these measures. We encourage people to still support the restaurant industry in other ways.Learn how
You’ll certainly be feeling the heat down in Denton Burn if you accept The Bindi’s ‘Inferno Challenge’, a fiery dish that local Newcastle hotheads know all too well. This Indian restaurant fires up the clay tandoor oven seven days a week at its premises down Whickham View, just around the corner from Denton Road, serving all your South Asian favourites plus a number of house and chef’s specials, all created with love and care under the watchful eye of proprietor Mr. S. Islam. Connoisseur’s choices include the Bindi special ghata and the chef’s interpretation on the classic jalfrezi. There are also thali and biryani to choose from, tandoori meals, and pick and match main courses that allow you to choose your meat, seafood or vegetables and have them cooked to your liking according to any number of regional Indian culinary styles.
Great food. Dishes that I have never seen in other restaurants. Very friendly staff
The staff were very friendly, the food was very tasty with a good selection of speciality dishes and the service was extremely efficient. The restaurant was very quiet with us visiting on a week day, but the takeaway side was doing a brisk trade. We have definite plans on returning.
