Went there for an afternoon work lunch and it was fantastic! Will definitely be coming back. Great food and service. Really enjoyed it.

Beautiful proper old fashioned pub, they are getting more and more rare. fabulous food, great staff, very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be the pub of choice next time we’re in the area. Best wishes to all the staff and the owners

Great pub, always a friendly welcome. Food was very good and our little girl had a great time playing in the huge beer garden and children’s playground.

Food fine. BUT. The conservatory not a place to eat with eight children on another table. Not doing anything wrong, just usual excited kids. The parents were not a quiet bunch either. We could not hear ourselves speak. Most disappointing. Will NOT ATTEND on a bank holiday in the future.

We had the The Black Swan experience again on Friday, excellent. Superb quality food and very attentive staff. Highly recommended.

very nice food - one complaint - one of us had Sunday dinner - came quickly - two of us had other food which came later so the timing of the three of us eating together was off. Otherwise great service

We went today (4 of us) for Sunday Lunch and it was fab. Apart from Sunday Lunch there was a full menu available. The atmosphere is lovely and there was a coal fire burning. The staff were all very professional. We have lived in Harrogate all our lives and haven't visited for a while but we will be back. Thank You !

We went for a meal - eleven of us including a 2 year old- excellent service and great food. They could not have been better- we will definitely be going back there.

Excellent from start to finish. We had five very good meals, well presented. Also the Daleside beer was first class. This was our fourth visit and we will certainly come again.

We received a warm welcome and staff we courteous and attentive throughout the evening. The food options were varied and more than met our expectations. This was only our second visit, but we are sure to be visiting more regularly from now on.

Good pub food and real ales. Perfect. We enjoyed haddock and chips and loved the Daleside local ale. Service was good and quick and the pub wasn't too busy.

Lovely relaxed evening, very helpful & polite staff with a sense of humour & tasty food. Catered for 2 of us who were coeliac (gluten intolerant) with a choice of meals.

Surroundings were pleasant and we liked the outdoor space. Our pre-booked table was organised ready for us, along with the high chair we had said we needed. Front-of-house staff were obliging and hard working, but seemed to be stretched too thinly. We were a large party and it wasn’t clear whether we would be served at the table or had to go to the bar to order. After a wait, we asked and a young man said he would come across to take the order. When we wanted to order puddings there was no one around to ask apart from one harassed bar-man who was trying to serve a number of other people n.b. This was at the weekend, not at a quiet time midweek. The food arrived promptly and was plentiful and well-cooked. All in all, we liked the place and would probably go again.

We had a lovely meal last Sunday, both the Sunday dinner and the other meals were delicious and the service great. Only downside, we would have preferred a rectangular or square table as the round ones pushed together didn’t really sit 9 of us round well to eat

We were a group of four eating lunch. The food was good and arrived hot. The service was the quick and efficient with friendly helpful staff. A nice place to eat.

Excellent friendly service nothing was a proble. Great beer garden. Fantastic food. Could not ask for anything more. I strongly recommend this pub for the whole family
