Amazing food with an idyllic beer garden at the back and side of the building.
Good food, lovely staff, great band on. Would defo recommend
Sunday dinner was amazing very big portion couldnt eat the lot unfortunately
Very nice but could tell we turned up near to the end. Didn’t get any stuffing and only 2 roast potatoes, but what we did get was very nice. Although was stood at the bar for about 10 minutes until somebody took my order, it took somebody sat at the bar having a drink to wave somebody over so that I could order. Received our food very quickly and was cleared away promptly.
Really enjoyed it, great staff and had a great Sunday lunch. Also has sky so all the football games are on! Lots of dogs running around too so it kept my girlfriend pretty happy watching the dogs, while I watched the football. Excellent.
We had a table for 20 of us - great food and service for Sunday dinner. Plenty of veg on the side as well, which was good.
A dog friendly pub with great food and a great atmosphere. The guy behind the bar was very good. Been many times and it never disappoints. Highly recommended
We came here for the Sunday Roast and it was delicious! Great portion sizes, loads of meat and you're able to ask for extra veg and gravy too. Food was quick to come out so we were happy customers. Service at the bar was a little slow, could perhaps have had more staff available, but overall happy and satisfied!
Great food, great atmosphere and very reasonably priced. We had the steak sandwiches and chips, and sticky toffee pudding, all of which were really delicious. The staff are very friendly and the whole pub has a great atmosphere
We all had Sunday lunch at The Bluebell. The food was very nice and the service was great! Really nice bar, good atmosphere there too!
Service good staff efficient and friendly food ok but was served only look warm which was disappointing and would still go and have another visit as maybe it was due to Sunday dinner busy time a no some people will say no excuse for the food not being hot but I would try as food would be really good presented hot enough to enjoy.
Ordered and paid for 7 meals. Once back at the table we were informed that 6 of the 7 meals were no longer available. Pretty disappointed
The meal was fine however, booking through quandoo was a waste of time as there was no reservation on our arrival! They managed to squeeze us in.
Excellent food and service. Sunday roast was delicious - good choice of chicken, beef, pork, lamb or a trio. Come with all the trimmings. Fantastic choice of delicious homemade cheesecakes as well. Would recommend.
Booked a table for 6 on mothers day at 3pm we arrived and were told they had run out if food!! I Said you better find some there is a table full of mothers expecting their Sunday dinner. When it came it was cold and there was no mashed potato on children's dinners and the roast potato' s were fritters . We sent them bsck and got a refund. We won't be returning
The staff were lovely its a pity the food let the side down. The starter of potato skins with sweet chilli sauce and extra bacon had in my opinion been re heated in the microwave and the ribs with BBQ sauce were chewy and extremely salty. However the steaks with Diane sauce were cooked to order and very tasty as was the fish and chips. Certainly worth a visit as very friendly atmosphere just steer clear of the ribs
Absolutely fabulous Xmas day lunch with a wondeful atmosphere. The chef did an amazing job and the hospitality from all staff was very warming. Will be going back next year.
They had no information about our reservation.. Luckily the pub wasn't full!! Staff very friendly and didn't have to wait too long for food. Unfortunately one of our meals didn't materialise ..it hadn't been ordered!! So one of our party had rather a long wait for his meal. Food itself was very nice and staff were most apologetic for the mistake
The bar staff were really pleasant and friendly. The beer (Blue Bell ale) was good too , the food however was pretty awful so unlikely to return....
Fantastic Sunday roast! We'd never been before and it's clearly a popular spot with locals. The portions were so generous and the food delicious. The beer garden with dogs allowed was an added bonus. Will definitely return.
The place was packed out abeautiful sunny September Sunday afternoon . I reserved a table which was actually two bar stools and a high circular table . Veggie option was average and the Yorkshire pudding chewy . Lovely staff although working under pressure . Would I go back probably not for food !
Grubby pub, every surface felt sticky. Sunday lunch very basic and poor quality meat. Good if you like dogs, as they are everywhere, including on the seats, leaving trails of dribble and other unmentionables.
Fab place great staff drinks and amazing food. Well recommended. Wonderful atmosphere. Amazing beer garden, lovely village pub and the menu is just so good, comfortable, cosy and just so nice.
Good food good pub quiz, food was classic pub grub and very good portion sizes. Will definitely go back to eat, drink and pub quiz.
The Bluebell in Jesmond served good food, it had a good atmosphere. There are board games to play while waiting for your food and it is dog friendly too. All this and its a stones throw away from miles of fantastic walks
Sunday lunch was superb. We were a large party (20) and they catered for us brilliantly. Great options for kids as well as adults. Recommended.
