Really busy but service was good and the tapas and cocktails were excellent

The food was amazing we had the kings tapas for two. So much food but such good quality and cooked to perfection. Thank you so much it was great to be eating out again.

My sister and I took our mother to The Boathouse today as a belated Christmas present. She loved it so much that we are taking her there for her birthday as well. The food and service were fabulous as always . Three very happy customers .

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, beautiful views, tasty, filling food. Exrtra nice touch, they realised it was my husband’s birthday and brought him a dessert foc with a candle in it and sang him happy birthday.

Good variety of well presented tapas and excellent views over the river.

Once again we had a delicious meal with some new dishes included in the Kings Tapas since we last ate there two weeks ago. There was also a new selection of 2 for £10.00 cocktails along side the other cocktail list and the vast array of gins & rums. The staff are always, without exception a credit to the place. My only small criticism is that this time, and a couple of weeks ago, we felt the dishes came out a little too quickly for us.

Celebrated by daughters birthday at the Boathouse and as always the food service and ambiance was amazing. The choice of tapas dishes is extensive and enough to please everyone. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit and I will be going back!

It was quiet as mid-week lunch time. Excellent knowledgeable service re menu and extensive gin list - all of our choices were really flavoursome and good size portions. Can adapt lots of dishes to accommodate no garlic. All 6 of us were very impressed and highly recommend this tapas bar. Views were also fabulous.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Boathouse. Such a great variety of reasonably priced tasty tapas and a great selection for our vegetarian friend which we enjoyed as well ourselves. The Flambé chicken is a must. The Manageress runs a great show and makes you feel very at home. We were lucky to visit during the festival so got to watch some great live music for free as well. Sadly as I was driving I was unable to sample the excellent selection of gins available as the cocktail menu did indeed look very tempting.I can't wait to go back with a different designated driver lol.

Four of us visiting Upton for the jazz festival went to the Boathouse on Saturday evening . They had problems with their wine list and were out of stock of the first two choices we made . The food was fine but nothing special . We were persuaded to order the king tapas to share - the portions of meat came out late and weren’t very tempting . Overall just ok but friendly service and a good location
