Steeped in history, The Bold Hotel in the centre of Southport was originally constructed in 1832 by Thomas Mawdsley, and built in late Georgian style. Following a recent £2 million refurbishment, The Bold Hotel on Lord Street, is shinier than ever and their bar and grill is still serving up some of the tastiest international and Mediterranean food in all of Southport centre, and further afield. If you enjoy a tipple as much as the next person, you’ll be pleased to discover that The Bold Hotel has an extensive wine cellar, as well as a wide range of craft beers, guest ales and cocktails. The diverse international food menu features everything from Tex-Mex nachos with spicy chilli beef to stonebaked pizzas, and from Turkish moussaka to British pub classics like steak and kidney pie. If you’re absolutely ravenous and feel up to the challenge, be sure to order their Mega Mixed Grill which comes with mountains of rump steak, chicken, gammon steak, pork steak, sausages, black pudding, tomatoes, eggs, onion rings, fries and salad. But be warned – this is not for the faint-hearted. Book ahead at The Bold Hotel for a meal to remember!
Food was very good, really enjoyed it and the waitress (dontvknow his name) was very helpful and very friendly. It made my 50th birthday meal with my friend very special. Definitely will be back .
First time at the bold tonight and will be back staff where really helpful and polite, food was quality. Can’t reccommend it enough a *****
Food very good, quality of cheeseburger and chicken & mushroom pizza excellent, service Vincent would rank with one of the best waiters we’ve ever experienced including top London hotels. Downside: there is no dress code with some of the clientele wearing T-shirts & shorts that we’d not contemplate working in the garden in, surely customers dressed in cheap sportswear should be asked to eat in the bar and not a very nice restaurant!
