The Bold Hotel

Amazing hotel, great service, great food & drinks. Our room was finished to high standard and our bed was so comfy.

Staff not wearing PPE and no hand sanitiser available (fortunately I’d brought my own). Food very average. Won’t be rushing back. On a plus note the young waiter and waitress were cheerful and polite.

Very good pub food in pleasant surroundings - would recommend

I have been a regular visitor to the bold and I was slightly disappointed, I expected a separate eating area to the rest of the bar, I didn’t like the fact people all around were coming and going with plates of food when after our meal we just wanted to sit back in the bar area (without diners)

The new Bold is very welcoming and comfortable. Overall the food was good although the service was a bit slow. The staff were very friendly and efficient especially Jacob and Mia. It was a good first impression and I would go again

No choice in rareness of beef. Little fresh veg - all mashed, with cheese sauce or buttered. Would prefer plain sliced carrots, broccoli , cabbage. Who has mushy peas with a roast dinner?

Fab afternoon tea and drinks later on! Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Will definitely return.

Treated like a walk in , never asked about reservation. Food sub standard sent back to kitchen replacement not much better, I think they were under pressure on Easter Sunday. I must admit this is not our usual experience.

Food ok. Pate really soft and just boiled rice with kebab. Very medioka

Lovely surroundings served by very attentive young ladies. Food was very tasty. Like the way food was cooked fresh which meant that there was a little wait but as I said it was all fresh.

Went on 15 December 2018 and had the Xmas menu for the 6 of us. The starters were lovely, well presented and tasty. Same for the dessert. However the turkey dinner was served luke warm, the turkey was not carved but thin slices that had dried out. The same for the vegetable, dried out and over cooked. As were the stuffing balls or bullets! Birds eye could’ve done better with a ready meal! Bitterely disappointing experience and will not eat there again.

Never been before despite hearing good things but decided to go for family bday meal today.Brilliant service, lovely surroundings and food was gorgeous. Will be returning for sure.

Fantastic Meal. We had the 2 Course menu. Winter Broth Soup. Then i had the Chicken Kebab. . Served with Rice. Wife had Seabass. Served with Garlic & Herb crushed Potatoes.. Fantastic Service. . Great Christmasy Athmosphere. We will defo be going back.

Food was very good, really enjoyed it and the waitress (dontvknow his name) was very helpful and very friendly. It made my 50th birthday meal with my friend very special. Definitely will be back .

Staff were lovely but sadly the food was not. It took forever to arrive then when it did, our medium rare steaks were actually lumps of overcooked (unknown animal) - we asked for another which took nearly another hour to arrive and whilst this was from a cow, it was still not the best.

Food very good, quality of cheeseburger and chicken & mushroom pizza excellent, service Vincent would rank with one of the best waiters we’ve ever experienced including top London hotels. Downside: there is no dress code with some of the clientele wearing T-shirts & shorts that we’d not contemplate working in the garden in, surely customers dressed in cheap sportswear should be asked to eat in the bar and not a very nice restaurant!

Service was a bit slow, some food was overcooked and some undercooked. Wouldn't return to eat at this restaurant again as it was very disappointing.

Lovely hotel very modern, bar area great and the ending meal we had was really nice. The staff were great and worked really hard. Our room was very clean and nicely decorated, only niggle was the room was very hot, couldn’t open the window just a small fan, would definitely stay again.

Food good quality for money and good food choices available. Aspects of service were very slow. Superb location and surroundings. Would visit again and recommend to family and friends.

Excellent service. Beautiful restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. Amazing Sunday dinner with roast beef. Yummy. My partner had a chicken kebab which was lovely too. Definitely will be returning. If paying by card please be aware you cannot leave a tip which is a little unfair as we certainly would have done.

Very attentive staff . Lovely meal in a beautiful restaurant. We sat at a round table near to the French doors and afterwards we went outside to sit as the weather was so warm.

Good food, well presented and piping hot in a pleasant restaurant. Good value for money in food and drink. Excellent service throughout ensuring we shall return.

Very poor service. Poor quality cooked . Steak returned twice . Had to argue to get any reduction in bill .manager never approached table to discuss. Very disappointed with whole experience.

Gorgeous glamorous restaurant and bar. Staff cheerful and friendly. Quality of food mixed. Service rather haphazard but not in a hurry so didn’t matter to us.

Good food, particularly the green brûlée. The Bold Hotel has a nice atmosphere though is over overly busy. The prices are decent and the staff very pleasant.

Staff very friendly upon arrival. The Chicken Kiev did not appear to be made by chef. The Gammon was excellent. Creme broule was hot on top but cool underneath. It was a quiet evening in restaurant for pre theatre.

Lovely restaurant with great service from the staff. The menu was varied and very reasonable and the food was well presented and very tasty! Would definitely recommend a visit!

Food served on cold plates and went cold quickly. Seem more interested in leaving views on trip advisor. Maybe need to prioritise things people are really concerned with. Entertainment was great so my mum did enjoy her mother's day treat. Come on Bold hotel you need to review kitchen plate service.
