Lunchtime at the Bollingbroke. Great service as always. Selected the two course menu. Great value and great quality food. Thanks for a very enjoyable few hours. Will be back again very soon.

Slow service. The restaurant was only half empty though we waited over an hour for our food. One of our party had yo take her food away in a takeaway box as she had to collect her children from school. Whilst waiting the full hour after our order was taken we told the waitress the situation. I am Disappointed 1 member of our party was not able to dine with us. No discount was offered. Drinks order was not taken, we drank just water. We asked several times for service someone promised to get back to us....by the time they did, we just wanted to eat. I asked for ketchup to ho with my fries. It never came. Given that the resurant was less than half full we were really surprised and disappointed at the shockingly bad service.

Food was not good. A really tough beef roast. But they did give us a free round of drinks to apologise.

Atmosphere and dining area in the back was so nice. The roast beef is not fresh meat though, has that texture of having been frozen, would be amazing if you can get fresh meat

Great Sunday gastropub lunch at The Bolingbroke between the commons. Have visited for Sunday lunch on several occasions and The Bolingbroke team always deliver a great experience and great value for money. Always look forward to visiting.

The waitress that served our drinks was friendly. But the waitress who took our order for are food not so. My burger had some kind of sauce on it with wasn’t great. Left most of my meal and the waitress didn’t even ask was there a problem.

The food was not up to its usual standard , the chicken schnitzel was very greasy and cooked for too long in my opinion. The staff, although very friendly once we got their attention, were very difficult to get their eye.

Good good at our local pub. Option of sitting in a quieter spot at the back of the restaurant or absorbing the atmosphere of the front. Dogs accepted at the front but inform upon reservation.

Staff was very nice and very attentive. However the small portion of mussels for £19 was not acceptable.

I booked a table to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and we had an amazing time. The food was great, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was buzzing which was a nice surprise considering we went on a Wednesday. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.

Food was great! Nice and hot. Pub was absolutely freezing, we ended up sitting with our coats on as were other tables. Wait staff seemed a bit unknowledgeable for any gluten free options and didn’t seem to care about the heating issue.

Unfortunately the service was poor and the food bland. Fish pie mostly potato, struggled to find much fish. Food plonked on table, simple orders had to be repeated 3 times. Condiments not offered, when requested were brought some time later. Chased for bill, got it and was told they come back with card reader. Eventually had to go up to pay at till as no one came back. Had to interrupt huddle of staff chatting at bar. We were cold, apparently heating had been broken. Even at 50% off for Jan Mon-Wed deal I was disappointed, and paid for my x2 friends dinner by way of apology. Perhaps there has been a change of management.
