Pretty good all round but long wait between Starter and Main course made it a little frustrating
The service and food were good. The overall experience slightly spoiled by the number of families with small children. Was rather like dining in a nursery! Kids were being kids, it was the parents with an inflated sense of entitlement and disregard for others which irked somewhat.
Great meal with friends. Highly recommend this place for a nice meal.
Fabulous place and literally amazing staff, So helpful and friendly. The Menu was fairly limited (in our view) with about only 6 mains available. We both managed to choose meals which had already sold out unfortunately-The Steak and ale pie for example, a big hitter on any menu but all sold by 7.45pm. We ended up with a beef burger and a chicken burger which were good (but a bit boring for such a fab place) as there was nothing else which grabbed us. Overall a fantastic venue but the menu needs a few more choices for mains, and definitely more Pies! We will be back.
Great service, great food and a great atmosphere. It will be my new regular.
Brilliant pub with fantastic food and great service. Love it.
Avoid at all costs the Portobello mushroom steaks in tomato & chilli sauce. They are not Portobello mushrooms, they are not formed into steaks and the sauce was swimming in oil - disgusting! A chef with any training would not have served that. No protein. Terrible value for money!
Great service. Very kind and friendly staff. Made to feel very very welcome.
Uninspiring menu & overall the meal was disappointing We had to send a dish back as it was just about warm
As fab as always! Food great, service great. Pudding far too tasty!
Dog friendly. The lovely Italian waitress was v friendly and fed our dog treats.....
Very helpful staff and lovely atmosphere Will come back again
1st time here with a friend for brunch. Great choice, good service and a lovely ambiance. Will definitely be back.
We had such a great experience! The food was delicious and came relatively fast. 5)3 Christmas decorations were lovely and the music was on point. Staff was friendly and attentive.
Such a great space and location could with upping the quality of food to match. Good portions, poor cooking skills and no real taste, awful gravy. With service mostly helpful, friendly, knowledgeable - lovely vibe with family and dogs, we may have a drink in there but probably wouldn't choose it for food again.
Lovely sunday roast with really good wine menu selections. Great location!
Good food lovely staff and a cracking pint of Guinness.
Great food, lovely relaxed atmosphere, friendly service. Fantastic that they have continued the government offer into September - thank you.
Loved the food and the service. Will definitely come back.
Good service, lovely meal and with EOTHO offer very reasonable price.
Excellent! The Barra in particular was top notch. Well done.

The food was very average. I won’t be dining there again.
The Bolingbroke was wonderful. We will definitely be returning for the great food and atmosphere.
Friendly staff. Adhered to all social distancing measures but maintained a good atmosphere. Delicious food. Thank you
Really great roast across the board! Will come back for sure!
Great restaurant and lunch, food and service were amazing. Highly recommend
Great food and service. Good value for money. Arrived early and table was ready and we were able to sit, no rush to leave the table. A really enjoyable experience. Would return
We had a great meal and sat in the back room which has a great ambience. The open fire kept us toasty on a cold evening. We always have a great meal here and the staff are attentive.
Great local restaurant. Always buzzy. Nice food but a quite predictable menu. Very good service but the staff were a bit overworked during a busy lunchtime.
We had a great time as always. Food was very good and service attentive even though they were busy. Lucky to have this as our local!

Very good service. The Three Cheers Wine Sauvignon Blanc used to be amazing. Not so good since they change it.
One of my favourite pubs in London. Great service and staff, delicious food and such a lovely setting!
Great service. Great food. Gorgeous pub. We always love it here!
Great service. Great food. Gorgeous pub. We always love it here!
We were unaware there was a time limit on the table. The rather aggressive waitress told us 15mins before we had to leave that our time was up. Despite waiting half an hour for service, perhaps time management could've been better on their part if they had told us. The bald gentleman was very kind and friendly. The food was delicious. Curly girl just needs to chill and smile.
one server was excellent, one was miserable food was better than last visit.
Excellent overall experience, with smashing service and cracking wine. C
Great food - very relaxed and service was excellent today
Perfectly nice evening but very disappointing food. I have eaten there lots of times and always enjoyed the food. There seems to be a newish menu which is a shame. Had the “plant based” burger which was not at all what I expected. Looked and tasted like an oily, processed, frozen burger from the Harvester or even Beefeater chain. No evidence of anything as it was all mushed together. The salad garnish was half a gherkin, some raw onion, a slice of tomato and some iceberg lettuce. No dressing. The extra salad I ordered was similar, plonked in a bowl and again, no dressing. Thought I’d been taken back to the 80s. Shocking. The green beans with nuts, however, were yummy. Also, very expensive for what we had.
Always a great visit to the Bolingbroke, wonderful pub with great food and atmosphere. Perfect for the family, friends or a date. Very attentive staff who are friendly and polite. Love it!
Amazing food and the staff were fantastic with our large group
The food was exceptional, whilst the atmosphere was warm and friendly!
Good Sunday roast! Only potatoes wasn’t crispy enough! Service was friendly and fast!
