Food was great and very originally Shanghai. Waiters and waitresses mostly friendly; however, the receptionist girl (the tall slim one with too much make-up on) skipped me and started serving the guest waiting behind me. I was confused why she did so but as it was new year's day dinner I did not want to make a big fuss.

Disastrous Chinese New Year dining experience: disorganised and disappointing. Half the dishes never showed up after 2 hours. Will not return.

we waited for a while to be served almost 20. minutes since we sat down. nobody came to ask for drinks and when they did, it was rushed. we placed our whole order and with the main course, they forgot to get the rice and when we asked for it, it was again a wait for 20-25 minutes. the food is good but the service is not

Staff didn’t seem to be very attentive when we walked in and it was like they didn’t know what to do when I told them I have a reservation. It was a bit of a muddle for them. They don’t have a great dim sum menu so people who want to have dim sum please do not come here. I ordered beef with crispy noodles but couldn’t finish as the sauce was very salty. Sadly I hadn’t high expectations but it just didn’t deliver. I’ll stick with Royal China next time.

The food was delicious-authentic Shanghainese favorites! I treated friends there, which was a perfect choice! The best in London in Shanghai style !

good Peking duck but very expensive champagne and limited wine list

The Pekin duck was dry and looked very tasteless and it was! The food was layered in MSG which left me quite ill! It was very expensive and my companions one from China one from HK agreed it was really not good food ! Will not go back. But the serving staff we kind but insecure and the desk staff were miserable and unfriendly.

Very authentic and delicious food! This restaurant is also a good option for people who have gluten allergies, as they have a gluten-free menu with some good dishes to choose from.

Fabulous food, wonderful ambience and exceptionally polite and attentive staff who don't mind spending time recommending good dishes. Special thanks to our waiter Joe. This was my first visit but will not be my last. Literally the best Chinese, ever. Highly recommended.

Good service and food quality was excellent. Staff were very helpful and dishes were served quite promptly. In terms of value for money, maybe slightly too expensive for what it's worth.

Very friendly professional welcome and service. The restaurant is attractively decorated and there is plenty of space between tables. Food was superb. Expensive but worthwhile for a special occasion.

Service and food was good just all the dough use for dim sum was been same it should be different. flavour wise it was nice, presentation was good, clean pleasant atmosphere ..just I do not get service charge logic added separately in bill as it was offer in group on bill and all u can eat sushi is for 18 pound per person restaurant itself addition of 13% service charge .

The atmosphere is bright and cheerful, the waiters are pleasant and courteous, and overall the experience very good. Food was excellent! Would definitely go again!

Excellent service! The waiters were always around when you needed them and quick and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed the food. The ambience was also good. Will be coming back again.
