Raising the bar for Lebanese cuisine in London, Al Arez has a number of different locations in the city, a testament to their popularity. Whether you want to sink your teeth into some shawarma or sit back and relax with some shisha, Al Arez on Edgeware Road is the place to go. The mezze plates are perfect for sharing around the table with friends and options range from falafel to kibbeh chicken, spicy sujuk sausage and cheese sambousek (baked lebanese pastry filled with cheese and parsley). Meat lovers will love the mixed grill while seafood lovers shouldn’t miss out on delicious choices like the sea bass or grilled prawns. Vegetarians will find plenty of options too, from the bamieh b’zeit v stew (okra cooked with tomatoes, onions fresh coriander and olive oil) to moussaka, making it the ideal location for a group dinner. Gather up your friends, book a table and head on over!
We had a wonderful time! Our waiters were friendly and attentive, and even raised a few laughs from us! Allergies are well catered for, without any hassle. Will definitely visit again!

We had a fabulous time. The service was great and attention from the waiter was nice. The food was lovely and portion size was very generous. Lovely atmosphere and the complimentary fruit then tea and sweets just topped it all off.
Nice food (huge portions), friendly and relaxed service. Highlights included excellent baba ghanoush with shawarma and the best haloumi I’ve ever had on Edgeware Road!
The food was ok but the staff were told several time on different occasion to get us water but all they did is go to the counter and talk amongst each other. So many times I went up to the counter and asked for glasses or water and on one occasion knifes. Service is crap but the food was ok.
Lovely food. Service could be improved. We were not asked about the food at all. Portions were ok size. Complimentary baklava at the end was a good choice.
long times waiting due to short of staff, we had to ask 4 times for water and glasses and wait more than half an hour with food on the table. Food was good.
