We really enjoy the Brown Cow. Now they’ve changed some of the menu, even better. Good food and beer as always.

Love the place, the sunday dinner was good but the yorkshire puddings are always burnt!!!

Good honest food, an interesting menu with a good selection. Nothing too fancy, but what we had was well prepared, cooked and presented. At 19:00 it was a bit noisy, but not bad enough to make us move tables. Very friendly service.

Excellent meal. All the family had a great time. Beer and food excellent.

Good atmosphere, had a slight issue with one of the meals but happy to say the management dealt with it immediately. The pan fried sea bass was excellent. When the bill came I was pleasantly surprised to find one of the meals had not been charged as a jester off good will. Will return again.

Lovely atmosphere (great music!) the staff were lovely and even though it was busy they were efficient and we weren’t left waiting. As for the food....wow!!!! Everything was perfect. We’ll be back! Thank you.

The service was slow. We had to wait over a hour for our food. Wasn’t made aware by the staff that there would be a delay and received no apology. No problem with the meals though, they were lovely.

Disappointed that 2 of the Specials were not available even though they were still advertised and 1 was advised once order had been taken.

Friendly greeting on entering.Found my booking and seated us promptly.Drink's order and Main meal smoothly taken and served.Both our roast dinners were well presented with plenty of meat and a good choose of vegetables.It went a bit down hill after that.It was quite some time before staff noticed we'd finished our main course.Plates were cleared but we had to asked for the pudding menu twice and when they never arrived I placed my order at the bar whilst ordering another round of drink's.In fairness to them the bar staff did bring the drink's over and the pudding were served promptly.Struggled to get the bill and then again to pay by card.Overall a bit of a mixed experience.It will not put me off going again as the food was good.

We were visiting from New Zealand and it was a great experience of a traditional English pub with great grub 🙂

Table of 10, slow service, one meal not cooked through & cold, whole bar & restaurant area cold... no heating on, no open fires lit.. generally poor

Apologies for the negative review, but after reading reviews and hearing great things previously, I (and my partner) decided to try for a Sunday dinner, sadly the service came across as rude, and the food was not as expected, not great value for money, and was left very disappointed.
