The Clay Pit of Cardiff was opened by a team of passionate foodies. Their mission? Provide the people of Penarth with sophisticated flavours from the Indian subcontinent. Excellently located on Plassey Street, there’s a focus on Bangladeshi dishes here as well as Indian. Choose from all the curry house classics you would expect, as well as more refined Clay Pit specials in the way of murgh makhani cooked with fresh cream, coconut and ground almonds, or lamb tikka karahi cooked with onion, sliced ginger, capsicum and a whole load of fresh spices.
