Roast dinner really good, choice of meats and food portion. Starter really nice didn’t have room for pudding though. Good service and nice views. Recommended.

Dined from a la carte menu while overnighting in hotel. F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S! Having successfully tried the tapas meu in the bar for lunch we had high expectations for dinner- we were certainly not disappointed! Excellent service, delicious food and great value! Highly recommended, thank you!

Excellent food and the staff are very pleasant although slightly unorganised. Surprised they don’t have a menu of what spirits they have, my partner had to go and look at the till to see what spirits he could choose from. Waited 40 minutes for our main meals. We noticed other tables being served their mains before us even though we had been there longer. We didn’t mention anything as we were in no rush and were enjoying sitting and drinking our drinks. The waitress eventually bought our meals over and apologised for the wait. They also forgot my dessert and it was only that one of the waiters noticed I had been given cutlery and had sat waiting for a while that he chased it up and found that our ticket had been missed by the kitchen. Not really sure what the problem was with our table and missing our orders but we didn’t complain. The lemon meringue dessert wasn’t very nice, too sweet and the meringue was a runny mess but our seabass main meals and the Thai mussels and soft shell crab starters made up for what the dessert lacked. Although service was a bit of a let down we will definately return.

The food was cold had to be sent back to the kitchen to reheat. The gravy should be served separately not pored over the meal the food was swimming in gravy. The staff were pleasant but a bit more training would be good. Overall disappointing.

Sunday lunch. Excellent starters, slightly over cooked beef, dry Yorkshire but nicely done veg. Good tart but the lemon overpowered the elderflower. All nicely presented by competent staff.

The menu had changed to the one sent on the e-mail. Nevertheless the menu was good. The food was excellent, and the service from the waitress was also excellent. Would definitely recommend a visit.

A nice place. Good food, good service. Reasonably priced too. Would return. It’s a bistro type restaurant, rather than traditional dining. Could probably do with more of an atmosphere.

It was My Fathers 94th Birthday, he is a bit hard of hearing but short as is my step mother, chairs were very low for tables and uncomfortable even forty wife and myself, cutting in on back of legs, people management should always when buying furniture should try them out first, had to get cushions for shorter older parents not a big problem but shame about chairs. Starters were OK but not wow in any sense, had Sunday lunch before here was all very good, still same chairs still cut off legs. The mains I had steak and so did my wife these were very good and enjoyed them, also prawn and muscle salad for father was good, but the lamb mum had was tough and hard work, did not complain as that is not their way, but just saying for them as not a cheap meal. Only benefit was some of the lamb went home for the dog wrapped in tissues, he did not find it tough!

The food is absolutely amazing, the service is absolutely amazing, the drinks are amazing, such a lovely place shame they have to deal with rude customers who think it’s ok to click their fingers for service

The food was very nicely prepared and tasted very good as usual. Unfortunately, though our young waiter was very attentive, we did have to wait a long time for our main course. It seemed this was most likely due to the kitchen staff. When we called this to the manager’s attention the matter was rectified.

Delicious food, friendly staff in a lovely setting. The overall experience was very good. The only negative for us, was as it was a Monday night it was very quiet, so ambience was lacking. However I would definitely return as the food was fabulous.

Only things that could be improved would be linen table cloths and more ambient lighting. Service was excellent and food fabulous. Wine list good if a little limited.
