Excellent food and friendly staff. Had a very enjoyable afternoon for a birthday and wedding anniversary. I would recommend for anyone looking for somewhere to have Sunday dinner

We went on Saturday afternoon for lunch and had burgers with fries. The food was delicious. Very tasty. The service was also very good. Efficient yet friendly at the same time. I would go back.

We were offered a choice of tables and chose one near a window. The restaurant is spacious and comfortable and the service was attentive and friendly. The food was delicious, with excellent seasoning and attractive presentation. We would definitely return!

Nice food great service would definitely recommend to our friends and family. All staff friendly, nice atmosphere created in the restaurant. Bar area modern, served good choice of drinks.

Lovely food, great setting - service was a little hit and miss. Very slow for the starters to come out, mains came out at different times.

Food and service was great as always. Can't wait for my next visit. We even had a great view of the storm coming in a cross the channel.

Overall very good. We had the roast pork, which was very tender, with veggies and all of it was hot. The dessert, coconut & passion fruit panna cotta with granola & pomegranate, was very refreshing and tasty. The speed and quality of service was also very good. We shall certainly go again.

Food was superb and the staff very attentive. Restaurant ambience was very relaxing resulting in an enjoyable evening. Pre dinner cocktails can be recommended! 👍

Lovely meal, food was good, service good and a rather humerous bar man who lite up the afternoon. Only thing disappointing was being charged for extra bread 😜

All the food was wonderful but especially the beautiful seafood flavours. Table service was excellent and everyone very friendly. This was a memorable night out.

Obviously hit them at a bad time as 1 member of staff only who was not present on arrival. He did his best. Food standard adequate. However, appetizers on the menu were olives £3.20 and bread with olive oil and balsamic also 3.20. I ordered a plate of olives only. It had not arrived for some while so I prompted the gentleman, whereupon he eventually brought a plate of olives accompanied by some pieces of bread. When I remarked on the bread he said it was because we' d had to wait so long. Alas, when the bill came, the charge was "olives and bread, £4.20". This is a small point but bad behaviour. It tipped an already borderline experience into a negative one. We will not be returning.

Fast and efficient service at reasonable prices, great location and nice atmosphere. Would recommend to a friend and will be returning to sample the cocktail menu

We visited with friends and the choice of menu was very good. We all enjoyed our different meals and the staff were very attentive. We will be dining there again.

Excellent food as always. Waiting staff lovely but they seemed not to be fully trained. We were offered lamb either rare or well done. We wanted medium which we did get in the end after the waiting staff consulted with the chef. Pudding to share did not come with additional plates or utensils. The food is lovely but at the prices charged, one would expect first rate service and more attention to detail.

Great food, lovely staff too. Really enjoyed the evening. Both A La carte and bar menu was offered, we chose the sirloin steak and it was absolutely delicious. Cheese board was delicious too. Would definitely go back next time I am staying over in Folkestone

Booked at lunch for husbands birthday. Lovely old building decorated with a modern twist. Service was excellent. We only ordered the Cliffe burger but it was probably the best burger we’ve ever had. The manager is very welcoming and spent time chatting to us. As it was my husband’s birthday, he bought out a free glass of bubbly for us both which was a very nice touch. After our meal he let us have a look at one of the rooms which was stunning for a hotel room. Large bathroom with separate roll top bath and large bedroom with fireplace overlooking the sea. We will definitely be returning to try the evening menu and will book an overnight stay for my birthday!

Beautiful location serving fresh mouth watering food. The scallops are cooked to perfection! Staff excellent and cocktails moorish can’t wait to go back. Well worth a visit.

Food was lovely and the waiter was very attentive. We had fillet steaks and linguine and they were perfectly cooked. Highly recommend this place along with its cocktails! X

Good menu selection. Great food with good and friendly service

Good evening enjoyed by all. Cannot find fault with food and table service. The prices are however, fairly expensive for the area so if this restaurant is going to maintain these prices staff must pay attention to areas that people expect from a 'high end' restaurant including taking coats on arrival, pouring wine on behalf of guests, checking all is acceptable after food is served.

Beautiful location overlooking the sea, with delicious food in imaginative preparation. Highly attentive wait staff. For anyone visiting the area, this restaurant is extremely recommended.

Amazing place to eat with a nice bar area. I went for the fillet steak and it was cooked to perfection, it was gorgeous. The staff are lovely also, we will certainly be returning.

Food was fantastic ! very imaginative menu especially the cold starter of scallops in chilli, lime, passion fruit and pomegranate seeds. Very reasonably priced for the quality and service provided.

Great food , great service and a very comfortable environment. I would certainly recommend the restaurant. My last visit was for an evening meal which was excellent and lunch certainly lived up to expectations.

Nice food and nice venue with views out to sea. Very pleasant staff. But stairs down to toilets which at 73 years of age gives me difficulty. I know you can't do anything about my age!

We eat here three or four times a year, and the standard is always very high. Friendly service matches excellent food. The fillet steak is amongs the best we've had anywhere.

The wine we ordered when we arrived didn’t appear until just before our starters came out. The restaurant manager was very polite but seemed a little stretched working on his own. The food did however make up for the slow start in service and would definitely recommend The Cliffe Restaurant to others.

Service and food was excellent , would happily eat there again and would gladly recommend to my friends and family , also I thought the meal was very reasonably priced .

our meal was good the only thing that we would say is my wife had crap a slightly bigger portion would of been great so something for the hotel/ restaurant to think abt and take on board but a part from that one thing great service all round.

Delicious food and great service would definitely recommend and will be back. Decor and location is also very good. All in all a very good experience.
