Lovely little restaurant. Steaks are wonderful as a treat as we generally do not eat meat.

We had the new bun and bowl menu which was very good. Although none of us thought the shoestring fries were any better than normal fries.

We came for their new lunch menu and the special offer during October best. My husband ordered the smoked rib burger and I got the Dorito hake bowl which both came with a complimentary negroni cocktail which was lush. My husband liked his burger and my bowl was really tasty but the hake was a bit bland. That little bit of seasoning would have made the difference. Because it’s a new menu, I’m surprised the server didn’t ask us if we enjoyed our food. He didn’t ask the table next to me either but they offered their feedback anyways. The server didn’t even seem like he was listening. Is the Coal Shed too good for feedback?

The smokey bowls as part of OctoberBEST are superb and ridiculous value for money. The variety of ingredients and incredible beef is worth going back for.
