Great atmosphere, friendly staff, good service and the food is fantastic. Lots of flavour and textures. Highly recommend

I was generally very happy with everything except the price, and I did not consider it value for money. We paid just over 50 pounds for lunch for two of us, and that was without drinks (we just had water), which was a lot more than I had paid on previous occasions.

Authentic Sri Lanka food served with a smile. I really love the experience of this place. The variety of the food is fabulous and the staff are very welcoming. They provide excellent service even when the place is packed out. People this place is worth a visit

Very bad service. The dishes arrived at very different times. Two plates came 40 minutes after the first which we didn’t eat. It’s a shame that the menu isn’t clearer about ordering. There wasn’t any cutlery on our table we had to get it elsewhere. An indifferent experience. We won’t go back.

The waiting staff are lovely and very helpful. It is a great place to go and I will definitely be taking other friends there again. I have been 3 time in the last month and enjoyed each visit. The noise level was a little high when we sat in the very upstairs seating area but that is my only criticism. Keep up the good work The Coconut Tree

Went on a Wed to enjoy 50% off the bill and knew that booze wasn't included. When the bill came, non-alcoholic drinks weren't part of the promotion - T&Cs needs to be amended. Overall, experience was good and food was enjoyable. There were a lot of plates on the table that wasn't being cleared as more food arrived, so we stacked them instead. One waiter ensured that we received everything and when we didn't, ensured it was followed up. I would visit again, but most likely during their promotion period.

The food was tasty but rather over salty. It took about 25-30 minutes to get our food despite seeming to be the only table ordering as it was quite late. There was no table ready however they offered a free beer to my partner to compensate.

We had a lovely meal tonight. The restaurant was fun and a good vibe. We were looked after by a lovely young guy called Bhagesh who was friendly and hospitable. We’ll be back. Thank you

The food was ok but some of our chicken was cold in the middle (ie it hadn't been reheated properly). It was hard to get the staff's attention (we were seated in a raised area and had to wait for them to come, or walk down the stairs to them with any requests). It was excellent value, but not as tasty as I expected from other Sri Lankan restaurants.

Recommended by a friend and did not disappoint. Great friendly service and advice on what to order. The tapas style plates were interesting and individual. Good cocktails and great value for money. Will be going again 😊

The team need to be more aware making eye contact for a better service. They seemed very inexperienced which was a shame as the food was good. A number of dishes were no longer available even the one which was recommended for firstimers.

Great to have some decent Sri Lankan food. Should add the following tp the menu Katha sambol roasted cashew nuts with karapincha leaves (YUM)

Our waiter was a nice chap and staff were friendly but all very young. Our cocktails only arrived with our mains despite ordered them as we sat down and even before ordering our food. One of our our side dishes we had to prompt them to bring and came once we were basically done. Very much like a Galle Beach shack, relaxed vibe, which we liked I guess, priced very reasonably. I thought the kothu roti was very inauthentic. Taste of most dishes was fine and dishes ‘looked’ good just not as it would be in a London restaurant - where a more multicultural city makes the audience more critical!

we went at 4.30 and enjoyed the restaurant filling up. The 2 hour time slot was a little tight to chat - but our table didn't have booking so our 20 minutes over the time had no effect.

Great customer service and great food. Only problem was that we were sat downstairs. This was maybe not a problem for later bookings (we were there for about 6pm) but for about half an hour we were sat on our own in what seemed like a cellar. All the music was upstairs and we could see tables being used as storage for stock items. This spoilt the meal somewhat. It was our wedding anniversary so we came here for a bit of a celebratory meal. We had been to a TCT in Bristol before which had a really good atmosphere so we expected the same here and it seemed like the tables upstairs had that good feeling but the downstairs tables were not the same. The staff were still lovely, as was the food, but being downstairs definitely put a dampener on our meal.
