Lovely summer platter. Great chips! Restaurant is very nice, staff are lovely and there is an opportunity to buy nice things too! What more could you want!

Lovely food in a relaxed environment. its worth booking at weekends to ensure you get a table, it's a popular little place. I recommend the lasagna!!

This is the fourth time we have been. We have the steak and wine deal, and it is truly fantastic.The service is second to none, Staff are very kind and helpful.

Great food, lovely service! Would definitely go again. It can get quite busy so it would be better to book. There are a number of tables by the window, get those if you can.

Met up here with a friend for lunch booked a table which was advised and easy to do , my booking was acknowledged and confirmed quickly all by email.The food was lovely a great selection, good service and reasonably priced.

Excellent food cooked to perfection, the staff were most helpful. We had Goujons of fish with chips pea puree and salad, we couldn't eat a sweet as we were full. We would reccomend this venue to anyone who maybe in the vicinity.

Fabulous lunch at the Corner Cuboard, so good we have booked to go again A*******. Service was excellent, a nice relaxing atmosphere, and they even have a shop too.

Enjoyed our visit, found the service, taking our order very swift, the only thought was the time it took to actually serve the meal, this is no reflection on the two ladies in the actual restaurant but I can only think it was in the kitchen itself, I think we waited around 30 minutes before the meal actually arrived.

We usually have all sorts of salads/plowmans/platters so the set meal of a steak was new. It was superb cooked just how it was ordered and came withwith onion rings and mushrooms. The chips were smashing indeed we couldn't manage the side salad. Fantastic atmosphere and service. This one of our very favourite restaurants thank you to everybody

The restaurant was based in an old school and also had a lovely shop attached. It was surprisingly quiet for a Sunday lunch time with only 3 other groups dining. We enjoyed roast beef and salmon main courses. Friendly service and tasty food.

Wonderful food and service. The restaurant is a gem and to be recommended. The scenery in that part of North Yorkshire is stunning and should be visited.

Food was ok chips a little greasy not homemade. We ordered tap water to go with the coffee which cost us £1.35 per glass which we never received. You do not get to see the bill so cannot check if it is right overall feeling disappointed

This is not the 1st time to visit but the 3rd. The food is very Good. The service too. we will be back again for the steaks.

Our steaks were delicious and cooked to our liking. Apparently the white wine was good, but my choice of soft drink (I did not realise it wouldn't be "ordinary" lemonade) wasn't to my taste so it spoiled things a little. However the service was pleasant and the food yummy. We were pleasantly full, but squeezed in a pud as they were so tempting!! Would definitely return/recommend.

Very disappointed with the Salmon (greasy)and Chicken (dry) salad. Having been to this restaurant many times in the past. My cat turn her noise up at the salmon.

Very different the fact that the restaurant is set amongst a lovely shop selling lovely goods. The steak meal was absolutely beautiful. The steak was very tender, served with a very tasty peppercorn sauce and sides of french fries and a lovely salad. Unfortunately didn't have room for a sweet but they did look very nice. Will definitely be returning to try some other meals from their menu.

I had a very attractively presented seafood meal presented to me today which was delicious in taste and range of fish/seafood. The fish was cooked lightly and was succulent in texture. Unfortunately for some reason one of my friends main course of fish pie contained only cooked salmon which did not match the discriptor in the menu - this was immediately replaced when pointed out but we disappointed in the lack of quality control as individual meals coming over the pass on exiting the Kitchen. We have all eaten at the Corner cupboard in the past and agreed the quality of the cooking was greatly improved as was the presentation.

Lovely dining area. Pleasant greeting. Excellent food. Rump Steak with mushrooms vine tomatoes jug of peppercorn sauce sides of chips and salad. Well presented. Asked for medium cooked but it was more on well done side hence 5 not 6 rating. Will definitely visit again. Thank you.

Excellent food and good service. Went using a "steak and wine for two" Groupon offer. The meal was really well presented and nicely cooked to order. Would definitely think of returning sometime.

Visited using a Groupon offer. The ambience was very good. The Steak was delicious accompanied by roasted vine tomatoes mushrooms choice of new potatoes or chips a peppercorn sauce served in a little jug and a side salad. The glass of wine included was not good hence the 5 out of 6 rating. Would definitely visit again for the food. There is a shop attached to buy items such as bags scarves gifts etc. Carpark at the rear. Thank you.

We were treated attentively, allowed time to settle in and not rushed out afterwards. A lovely ambience and good food. Very happy, we will be back!

The service was very slow. We waited around 20 minutes before a waitress came to our table. Staff kept passing us, but didn't acknowledge the fact that we needed service. The room was so cold that it was uncomfortable. However, when the food arrived it was excellent.

I went here recently for a steak meal with wine and enjoyed it so much that I've just booked again! Food was lovely and very generous portions. The service was wonderfully friendly and I would highly recommend the venue too.

Nice setting however the initial table service could have better, the steak meal was nicely presented with nice fries and salad but regrettable we asked for a medium steak but came as medium to rare, never mind it still tasted good.

We had a lovely meal tonight and the service was exceptional. No complaints at all and very happy to recommend. Thank you to the staff and chef for sorting a small problem.

Nice atmosphere and pleasant people, but we ordered small meals with chips and salad and we had finished the meals before the chips and salad arrived. We were not happy bunnies!

Warm welcome, lovely surroundings and first class food. Nothing was too much trouble. We've been several times and have never been disappointed. We will be back again.

Lovely food and welcome. There is a very extensive menu available. Something for everybody. We were served very quickly and offered everything we could at the appropriate time. Will definitely visit again.

Beautiful setting and excellent food and service. Highly recommended we went for a 50th birthday lunch! Roast beef and profiteroles were delicious! Please visit you won't be disappointed!!!

It was our first experience of The Corner Cupboard yesterday afternoon. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the steak and wine meal offer - the food was delicious, good portion sizes and the wine was really nice too. The service was excellent - friendly, helpful and timely. Will definitely be going back again and highly recommend it to other people. Mrs A

A lovely setting surrounded by some lovely items that are for sale. We had lamb from Sunday lunch menu which was lush. Service was spot on. Only disappointment I had was the hubby not letting me spend hours looking at all the lovely items for sale.

Another wonderful, tasty meal with fantastic, attentive service. It is always a pleasure and a real treat to return her to eat and browse through the interesting shop. A varied menu, very reasonably priced and a nice mixture of light and main dishes, with cakes and desserts too. A lovely, relaxing place to eat. Only one small niggle: no apostrophe in Afternoon Teas!

Fantastic food - steak was cooked perfectly! Also a kooky ambiance, and easy parking. However, it was a busy when we were there (at 1.45pm!), and so service was a little slow, though the staff did their best, and they were always friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend! Just make sure you aren't in a rush to go anywhere afterwards.

food great can't wait for the next visit, just one point, the last time we visited aprox 3 weeks ago the member of staff who served us didn't know anything about your point system, so we were unable to claim the points

Excellent service and the food was superb. Very good value for money with freshly prepared meals. Once again, it was well worth the effort to drive out to this superb location. We'll be back! :-)

All others visits have been superb, this visit was disappointing as the room was cold and the bread bun and new potatoes appeared to be past their best, everything else including service was of the usual high standards.

Excellent food and friendly service as always. The staff are always welcoming and their are a lot of choices on the menu. The gift shop is excellent with unusual things to buy

Very good food. I ordered seafood pancake but got seafood platter, they offered to change but I didn't mind because it looked so good. Been before, will go again.

Lovely food and attentive staff. Music rather a little too loud so difficult to make conversation at times. Windowsills could do with a clean..only obvious as tables are right next to them. Not somewhere I would eat regularly as it isn't that special but very nice nonetheless.

Excellent! The staff were very accommodating. We hadn't realised the usual menu wasn't available due to it being Sunday. They were very accommodating and allowed us to choose something from the general menu. The food was great & it was the best cappuccino we've had in a long time.

A very enjoyable lunch for my birthday. The food was very good and the service very friendly and efficient. Looking forward to our next visit in the near future.
