Good food, friendly service. The Courtyard is just a very good place to eat out.

Really enjoyable meal, service was a little slow but it was fairly busy so we were not concerned.

Staff were really helpful and friendly and food was good apart from the steaks which were a little chewy unfortunately.

We popped in the day before and asked for good table and ended up in a jury’s Inn breakfast type room! No atmosphere and very disappointed. Food was average and we won’t be going back. Far better places to eat in Deal for more or less the sameness price.

We Visited The Courtyard today Sunday 8th March) for my mums birthday, which she was excited about. Myself and Husband have been many times and usually have a good experience. Today however, we arrived, and our table wasn't ready so waited for 10 mins, standing in the bar with our 3 children.(Not ideal) The service for our main and first round of drinks was fine, our food arrived and was lovely. However once finishing our food we must have waited at least half an hour and still no one came to take our plates, see if we needed another drink, or ask about deserts. So I had to call someone over to ask to take away our plates, and ask for dessert menus.. Que another 15 min wait. Once we eventually had our table cleaned and had our desert menu's, we again faced another 10-15 mins without service. So again, I went up to the bar to try and place an order, I was told to take a seat and someone would be over. A waitress did arrive, took desert orders, but didn't ask if we like another drink, tea's or coffee's. (There were other customers who were also having to leave their tables to go up to the bar to replace their drinks) Needless to say we ate our deserts after being in the restaurant over 2 hours, I then paid at the bar, in order not to have to wait any longer, and we left. The Bar man seemed more interested in socialising with customers around the bar, the glasses were piled high behind the counter, and made excuses when I told him it had been such a long wait today. He apologised for our wait, but said "as long as the food was good" Unfortunately for us that is not the case, Yes the food may have been good, but poor service makes for a bad experience. Regardless of how the food is. My Husband and I will return I'm sure, as it has a good atmosphere in the evening, especially with the live music. However if the service is poor again it will definitely be our last visit. Which would be a great shame.

Very nice evening with some old friends. The restaurant was fairly crowded and the staff tried hard to cope, but I think they needed more help. The food was ok though, a bit more variety might be an idea. The live music was good, but a whole evening of Bob Dylan songs is slightly depressing!

Fabulous meal and gin trees. The venue was busy and therefore service was not what is usual for the venue. Also the veggie/vegan options were limited but what we ate was lovely.

Once again, great service and amazing food. They were so busy today with big bookings, but we had a great meal as always.

The whole thing was exactly what we wanted. A nice meal, and the opportunity to sit around for a (very) long time afterwards drinking wine.
