Great food Staff as friendly as needed Noises high due to being busy

Usually great food but not this time and the waiting time was long with no explanation

We had a booking on Friday 31st January. We put two ordered through for the same table. All the starters arrived within less than 10 mins which was amazing. Unfortunately the down fall was when the mains arrived. The first order came with no issues but the second order (which was just two curries) was no where to be seen. After asking our waiter we was assured that the remaining food would be out shortly. After a further 10 minutes nothing, so we chased again and was assured it was coming but yet again another 10 minutes had past and still no food. By this time the other 4 parties has finished their mains.

Perfect for all the family. Never had a bad experience here would defo recommend.

Me and my family have been eating at Covered Wagon for many years but this time it had to be the worst time ever and don't know if I would come back. The waitress did not bother showing any attention when we wanted to place our order, I ordered poppadom's twice never ended up having any come to my table for me and my kids, she missed two dishes off our order and my children had to wait over 30mins for food to be served to them once it arrived the chips were over done. The waitress started to pick up the dishes while we were still eating, then at 5.30 she came over and told me to finish at 6pm as they need the table, there was no time restriction when i made the booking then brought the bill over to pay once paid she said we need the table while my son was still eating his dessert i am disgusted how we were treated within 2hrs. We were never approached by the manager when i requested for one not given a discount or anything to replace the dishes missed off my order!

I've had the pleasure of attending a girls night out here so knew the service and food were amazing, I wanted to treat my foodie critic hubby to see What he thought as he's not from Birmingham so he's very picky, he absolutely loved it, he gave it 10/10 for premises, cleanliness, friendly staff who checked on us but we're not pushy, he gave the food taste, portion size and price 100% value for money, we were a 30/40 minute drive away but he said it was well worth it so we'll defbe going again
