The Covered Wagon - Birmingham

Every time I’m in Birmingham I always go to covered wagon, I tried the soya keema definitely recommend. The cardamom was slightly too strong but with butter naan 👌.

Excellent food and prompt service good ambience had a good time

All good, but it was very busy and noisy, not a venue for a quite night out. In saying that a really good Saturday night vibe!

Booked a table for 8.00pm. You get a tab arranged then it's excellent service all the way 1st rate lovely food and waiter service Very clean place Lovely aray of different draught and bottled beers Toilet very clean Would recommend The Covered Wagon to anyone lovely place, lovely curtious staff with excellent customer service. Will definitely be going back again

Food was good only negative was that most of the starters have the sauce sauce so all tasted the same, they need to make some of the c starters without sauce and just normal ingredients.

Fantastic afternoon, Jaz our waiter was fab nothing too much trouble, food was amazing for both the meat eaters and the vegetarians. Even the fussy kids loved it.

Excellent service. Ordered a large sizzler as a starter to share and was delicious!

Food was great as always but you squashed our table of 4 in a corner where if 1 person moved from any of the surrounding tables everyone had to move to allow access back to bar where you ordered and got drinks from ... that was a faff

Booked this place for my wife's birthday meal after seeing great reviews on trip advisor. Although the food was good. The service was disappointing on our visit. Understandably it was busy on Saturday night, but the service was non existent. We had to keep trying to get staff attention to order drinks, food and request cutlery otherwise we would have just been left sitting there. We were reminded that we only had the table for 2 hours but the reason we ran over was because service was slow and we were just waiting on them. We didn't feel welcome, and didn't get a chance to bring out my wife's cake. We complained to the manager, not to be difficult, but to just to try and get him to understand what went wrong, but the look on his face was like he just wasn't interested. Hopefully you have a better experience, but we won't be going back.

Food was great however the chap that brought the food over almost threw it on the table didn't ask who's meal was for who just put everything down on the table with a bad attitude and left us to sort it amongst ourself really disappointing The girl that collected the plates was very polite and friendly if only the guy that brought the food Iver was just as polite

I had indian cheese in a creamy sauce which was too rich and tasted like heinz tomato soup. Portions were big and biryani rice was v good but sauce too hot . Very packed and noisy.Food came at different times. People parked in disabled bays with no disabled badges and staff did not ask them to move.

Sizzler was good but the chicken pieces in the chicken karahi main dish were not succulent

A family of four visited the restaurant for the fourth time. This time the service was appauling. We ordered a vegetarian sizzler which didn't come sizzling. Followed by no serving spoons for any of the courses until we asked. Giving spoons also took over five minutes do our food was getting cold. Our main meals were served Luke warm and not hot. We ordered four nan breads different types and we first received three then give but all mixed up. Basically food served cold, service lousy and no care taken if whose order we git

Our favourite Indian restaurant which we regularly visit. I think visiting on a weekday night was good, as the crowd was very less and much more quieter.

My husband and I came out to grab a bite to eat whilst we had a rare evening off together paired with a babysitter. So came here as we heard great feedback. The food was great. Service quite quick. One of the waiters took time to talk to us about the menu and the different types of spice levels. This was really good service. Recommend a visit here again.

Lovely food great service. The only little problem we had we were seated on a table right underneath a telly. Would be better if they had the telly on with no sound on.

Absolutely amazing. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and food was excellent as always. Though the toilets are a let down, they are in need of attention to come on par with the staff and restaurant.
