Epic food, Epic service, really clean, recommend def 👍... X

Went for lunch during the week so it was abit quiet which was understandable. Food and service was amazing… the only thing was my husband ordered a pint of Aspal and they only gave him half a pint as they ran out and no more till delivery till that evening.. also because it was quiet atmosphere was lacking and I feel some background music would have been nice. However like I said for the food experience I can’t fault.. amazing.. had so much food we were able to have a takeaway box and bring it home .. will defiantly visit again.

I came into your restaurant I didn’t finish my meal because the staff was over the top of us offering to give me the bill when I wasn’t even finished my meal takeaway boxes as I was trying to eat my food

Food was nice , arrived very quickly. But it wasn’t very warm in there , this was my second visit and on both occasions I was cold . I wasn’t the only cold person there , three or four from our party said the same

First visit for us since opening 3 weeks ago. Food was lovely and reasonably priced. Staff very nice and seemed enthusiastic. However more training should be given so they are more attentive. For example we had to ask to order drinks (no cocktails available 😔) but only a wine and cocktail menu so had to ask what beers were available. Then we had to ask to order food. No second drinks offered, no desert menu nor offered and had to ask for the bill. So what could have been a lovely restaurant was let down by lack of professionalism. Staff should also not stand around chatting with I assume the manager in big circles in view of diners. Would go again as the food is great and hope the service improves

We were severed by Remie, and she was amazing again as she was last week when she served us then! Very attentive and knows her job well

The staff are lovely although it all felt quite disorganised. The food came out quick. The sizzler was lovely but the curries were lukewarm. The seating isn't great, it’s very noisy and people kept on walking past all the time. We couldn’t really hear each other, so not a place for a nice quiet chat, more like a fast food restaurant.

Really enjoyable evening. Restaurant looked great and was very busy. Food was beautiful, chicken pieces were so big along with the portion sizes. Childs menu - quality at a very reasonable price with big portions. Drinks were excellent too. Even given cartons to take the food home we couldn’t eat. Thanks to Sam for looking after us, very polite & friendly. Definitely recommend and will be back.

Having heard some positive reviews about the covered wagon we were really disappointed with the food, lamb curry was watery with no substance, (curry flavoured gravy) Keema nann arrived with the mince lumped in the middle. I have to say the staff member looking after us was lovely Shame !!!!!

It was our first visit to The Covered Wagon and certainly won’t be the last. From the moment we arrived, the staff were most welcoming and helpful. The restaurant is stylish and the toilets are immaculate. The freshly cooked food was excellent as were the drinks. We even got boxes to take home what we couldn’t eat. Special shout out to our server Sheri. It was my husband’s birthday and we had a great time. Thank you everyone at the Covered Wagon Coventry.

Chicken wings were really good. Chaat wasn't what I was expecting, and loads of what I can only describe as bombay mix on top of it. Previously the chaat I have had were little balls. The other food okay, nothing to moan or rave about.

Food was excellent. Staff need training - glasses for water, clean plates between courses, check starters finished before bringing out main courses.

Nicely decorated and young staff very eager- starters came out just after poppodums which was annoying. Food average nothing special - garlic naan was really nice .

Food was great! Great flavours on our mixed grill! It didn't come out sizzling hot.. it was warm.

We arrived and were seated, we then waited for about ten minutes before someone took our drinks order. We then were left another ten minutes, until the same member of staff returned to ask us if we’d like to order! We explained she’d been once and she then embarrassed apologised and went off to find our drinks. She returned with them and took our food order. The meal was pretty standard as Indian food goes. Nothing out of the ordinary! The dining room and bar were often swamped with users that were not there to eat. On the whole nothing special.

First time visit very impressed. Major upgrade against previous restaurant they was there. Will be back

Food was really nice. The service was chaotic, 20 minutes between placing drinks order and someone coming to take the food order, items deleted off order. Waitresses running here there and everywhere other staff moving tables, seemed unorganised

we recieved our food at 20 past 5 then we were constantly asked if we were finished by multiple different people which ultimately put us off being a group of 4 trying to enjoy are food and chat etc realistically Need to have 1 person serving certain tables as clearly was a shambles as no one knew, there was a few empty seats/booths so wasn't extremely busy in the end we left as feeling rushed to leave, the sizzle plate wasnt even sizzling compared to other tables that arrived so unfortunately will not be returning

It was very busy but we had pre-booked a table. We were out as 2 couples & were shown to a side area. There were 2 tables of men in that room. It was very loud, there was lots of shouting & rude talk & swearing. I did consider asking to move but it was just so busy. They took a while to find the bottle of wine I wanted but all in all the service was pretty good. The food was only ok but tbf I ordered Desi (punjabi) & i have not had that before & the others said they'd enjoyed what they had. It seemed a place better suited for a night out with your mates rather than for a special occasion

Food was lovely, staff were friendly. It's a new restaurant and the serving staff are all new too, and it was extremely busy so I wasn't bothered that the popadoms were forgotten until we reminded the staff and I had to wait a few minutes more while they corrected my main meal order. All initial teething problems that will iron out. Overall.. lovely food, reasonably priced, and the staff were lovely

I have eaten at The Covered Wagon in Moseley and was delighted one opened in Coventry. I booked a table for my team (didn’t really need to book as it was an afternoon. The building has been extensively renovated to a very good standard. Everyone was very impressed with the food. Service as great. We all enjoyed ourselves immensely.

My only criticism would be the restaurant was quite cold, they need to turn the heating up. Also, the plates on the table are cold so as soon as you put your food on, it cools very quickly. Idealy warm / hot plates would be better served just before the food arrives.
