fantastic food and service. Liked the open plan kitchen where you could see what was being cooked fresh.

Nice enough place, although I didn’t know what all the hype and fuss was about. It took a while for someone to take our order, and when the food came out, we’d ordered poppadoms that never arrived, but when we told the waiter, he was going to get them after he’d put the main course on the table. I ordered a vegetable jalfrezi, and it was bland and full of onions. The fish pakora I ordered was bland and dry. The mushroom rice was over cooked and there were hardly any mushrooms in it. I’ll stick to Khushi next time.

Well they couldn't get the drinks right it took 3 attempts to get it right also the the jera rice was not cooked properly it was like you was eating plastic also I did not know you get 2 hours to eat the food took 40 mins to come out also they lost business because we all wanted dessert but they said you get 10mins to eat it so we never ordered dessert I will never come back there and recommend it

The food was fantastic. Really delicious and good value for money. Was a little noisy but that's because the restaurant was full of happy customers. All my engineers went home really full and happy. Thankyou

The service from our waitress was first class. However the food was OK but not spectacular, I felt it was geared towards quantity and not quality. I would rather pay a little more and be wow'd! I was also a little off put with the insistence to leave ahead of time, to cater for the next service, I felt rushed.

Not an enjoyable experience, excessively noisy atmosphere, food basic, no flavour just spicy. Disappointed and will not be recommending. However, excellent service from the waitress

The restaurant was pleasant and the service was very good but in my opinion food wise there are much better Indian restaurants in the area. I can only speak for myself as there are plenty of good reviews but I found the food to have a powdery mass produced flavour.

We visited this Indian restaurant as a group of seven friends. The atmosphere was pleasant and inviting, making it a nice place to spend an evening together. The starters were actually quite good and gave us high hopes for the rest of the meal. Unfortunately, the main courses were a major disappointment. We ordered seven different curries, a mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, few chosen as Madras dishes. We were very clear when ordering that we wanted them spicy and even asked for extra heat. When the curries arrived, they all looked almost identical in colour and texture. Once we started eating, it became clear that they also tasted almost the same - and surprisingly, every single one was sweet. This was extremely disappointing, especially given that Madras curries are known for their spice and depth of flavour. We raised this with the staff, hoping it might be a mistake, but the response was simply that “this is how we make it,” rather than acknowledging the issue or trying to rectify it. While we didn’t make a fuss on the night as we were focused on enjoying time with friends, it was hard to overlook such a fundamental problem. If a chef interprets a clearly stated Madras and extra-spicy order as sweet, flavourless curries, it seriously calls into question their understanding of the cuisine. A good atmosphere and decent starters can’t make up for a disappointing main course, and sadly this experience fell well short of expectations after spending £250 at the restaurant including the tips.

Food and service fantastic only downside was the awful parking - parking spaces very slim so cars all parked to close making it a struggle to get in and out your car. Also id suggest opening both sides of the car up so people go in one way and out the other to reduce jams getting in and out. If you resolve the parking issue we would visit again but wouldn't until it is resolved as it ruins a night out

Was really looking forward to trying the Covered Wagon. However my experience was very mixed. Was sat in a poor location by the serving hatch. The meal felt very rushed, the mains came at same time as the stater and the table was too small to take all the order. One of the mains was wrong. The quality of the food though was good. Noise levels way too high to enjoy a conversation. Will definitely try again but first impressions disappointing.

We gave the atmosphere a lower vote because, although an Indian Restaurant, there was only one beautiful Christmas tree and a few snowflakes on the windows....not very Christmasy and also rather cold where we sat. On the plus side, we mentioned it to the manager and he was appreciative of the feedback and said he would look into it. All in all a good experience.

We were unfortunate to be sat near a large work Christmas party who were very very loud. However the staff were apologetic and they left just before our meal came. The food was great. Chicken and sizzler really well cooked. Nice decor and good to see it so busy.

Food was pleasant, menu somewhat basic/traditional nothing innovative, service decidedly average - plates were not going to be changed between starter and main until requested , the new plates were not warmed. Tables not cleared from plates, dishes, leftovers glasses etc an hour after finishing main course . Staff were very polite and courteous however just missing a few basics that make for a better experience.

I booked the table for 6pm. Service was awful. The staff are clearly very busy but the food service was even worst. We had a table of 8, 4 people’s food came out after 50 minutes of waiting but only half portions. No rice, and half the curry’s. Main meals with naans served with no rice. 10 minutes later told another 5 minute wait for the rest, 20 minutes later still nothing and the curry they had served was now cold. To add to this there were 3 other tables of 8/10 in the same room that then started to receive their food without issue! Mixed grills were not good. When curry finally arrived after multiple complaints it was nice and tasty but by this time all of the other members had eaten. Shame with the service as the food overall was actually quite nice

We had a fantastic meal at The Covered Wagon where 7 of us had booked to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant accommodated our request to bring out a cake after the meal, and the food was delicious, great curries all round and enjoyed the starter. Service was a little slow but it was very busy and appreciate the restaurant is newly opened so they are probably still getting into the flow. If you want a really good curry it’s the place to go!
