We had lovely food and it came out quickly. As I am allergic to dairy the staff were excellent in providing me with differently cooked vegetables.

Great well cooked and presented food. The gammon with egg and pineapple went down a treat… and the apple tartan pudding was so tasty. The waiting ladies were both helpful and delivered our food with a smile. What was there not to like? . Overall, a good value for money lunch.

I really enjoyed the courgette and pea soup, and the root veg/feta salad. I think a couple of the starters to not be easily vegetarian is a bit odd - the burrata and the whipped feta. We have had similar in italian restaurants both in the UK and Italy, and they’ve always been a vegetarian option! Also - I considered having the Thai Massaman Curry but it did not sound authentic at all. I has the asparagus ravioli as a main which was nice bit a tad too sweet with the pureé. I ordered the vegan apple tart with vanilla ice cream. I was disappointed how flat it was and with how few apples were in it. And the vegan vanilla ice cream tasted awful (the swedish glace brand for vegan vanilla ice cream is the best tasting one i have had personally) It sounds like I am being picky but I love this pub as a local, and think just tweaking the food to be more authentic would take it to new heights. Hope for this to be seen as constructive feedback and not negative in any way.
