The Drum & Monkey is about as fine a British country pub as you’re going to find anywhere. To start with, it’s a gorgeous building with idyllic surroundings and plenty of outdoor seating. On top of that, the bar is well-stocked, the welcome is wonderfully warm and then, the reason we’re all here, the food coming out of the kitchen is proper British fare through and through. The menu changes often – usually according to season and what local produce is available – but from Monday to Saturday you can expect or lunch or dinner options in the way of classics like beer-battered cod and wholetail scampi, then on Sunday, of course, it’s roast dinner all around. You’ll find The Drum & Monkey on Gloucester Road, just south of Worcester towards Upton-upon-Severn.
