The preferred local for many of Lincoln’s residents, The Duke William in the town centre constantly impresses with its unpretentious take on classic British cuisine. The dishes on offer are simple and traditional, but are jam-packed with bold flavour and gourmet touches. Plus, there are specials galore – come by every Thursday from 5pm for incredible curry and beer specials, or stop by for Fishy Friday and receive a big beer-battered fish with a side of chips, mushy peas, bread & butter at a very reasonable price.
The Duke William Lincoln offers numerous fine ales available on tap, as well as several fine wines and ciders. The restaurant’s food is incredible, with options like steak and ale pie, crispy whitebait, watercress & green pesto linguine and salmon with lime & coriander salsa gracing the menu. Try the Duke Burger, a massive beef burger topped with gherkins and the usual fixings, alongside a big pile of chips and the delicious homemade coleslaw. The desserts are amazing here as well – we recommend the sticky toffee pudding or the New York cheesecake.
