This is a great place which is a pleasure to visit. It is quiet, the food excellent and has wonderful service. The little additional touches, like the amazing bread roll with flavoured butters at the start of the meal and the chocolates at the end of the meal, make this an experience we always enjoy and we will be coming back.
Warm welcome, beautiful country decor, excellent service, superb food and as an extra touch the waitress brought us a large plate of sweet goodies at the end of our meal as she heard that we were celebrating an anniversary. Perfect.
Excellent friendly service, good beer and a varied menu. The food was nicely presented and all three of us thought it delicious. We will certainly return
Beautiful food innovatively presented. Everything was delicious and top notch. Would happily return and will continue to recommend to friends and family. Latest award well deserved.
Fantastic Sunday lunch as always!!! Great service, excellent value and friendly atmosphere the best in the area and well worth a visit so would recommend you won't be disappointed
The Dunsford was fabulous. The atmosphere, the service, the food and the wine was all priced very reasonably for Sunday lunch. My brother in law joined us, he is on holiday from Australia and he said it was the best value for money he had known.
Great atmosphere, interesting menu and really good food. Enjoyed the entire experience. Well worth the journey to this interesting village to eat, drink and come away feeling very satisfied1
Good food both inventive and tasty, very friendly atmosphere, staff extremely pleasent and helpful. Professional, clean and well managed. We would absolutely eat here again.
I was very impressed with the service. The menu chose was excellent and the food also excellent . I would definitely return with friends at a later date.
The Dunsforth is a lovely pub/restaurant with a great atmosphere which is due to the delicious food and the staff who were friendly and charming, with an excellent knowledge of the menu. A visit is highly recommended, but be warned you will want to go back again.
We experienced very poor/slow service and when the food was finally served it certainly didn't live up to the elevated prices. Very disappointed. Second visit where service has been slow, even though there were only 3 tables eating there.
Very good experience, food out together with artistry and flair, service attentive without being intrusive. Would recommend a visit by anybody and will most certainly be returning ourselves
Our 2nd visit to The Dunsforth and it certainly didn't disappoint. Lovely food lovely people. Can't understand why more people have not discovered this treasure of a restaurant. Excellent imaginative food at reasonable prices.
Tge dunsforth was amazing as always. The team and the food are a real treat! Great atmosphere too. Cant wait until next time! Thank you x
The food was excellent; beautifully presented and delicious and would get a rating of 6. The total experience was a 5 because there was no front-of-house/maitre d' to greet and the service, whilst friendly and effective, was not as polished as the food deserved. We all enjoyed our meals and my steak was the best I've had in years - tender, tasty cooked and seasoned to perfection.
Food quite good ,but I do think it will out price itself, it has gone up 2 pounds since last there at Easter. thank you.
We had a fantastic Sunday lunch here last week . The quality of all the food was first class. They also offer a children's menu which had a great selection
could not fault the food from starters to desserts. service was very poor totally. from the bar to waitress , there didn't seem to no who was doing what, as there were no clear guidance from the one in charge. she was buzzy helping clear plate to serving to doing a bit of everything except been in charge If she took more charge and watching what her staff was doing maybe your wait would be as long down to lack of origination. if waitress had a set of table each maybe you wouldn't be waiting over a hour for your table and twenty minute in between courses. We would return just for the food.
We came with friends from Scotland and everyone enjoyed there meal, the food was very good ,nice friendly staff, we have booked to come again.
An excellent meal as always, even though seafood extravaganza menu was sold out the chef managed to make up a seafood platter for one of us which was amazing....
Great experience as food exceptional staff very obliging and very pleasant and lovely surroundings. Will be going back again and telling family and friends to do so.
I'm not usually one for writing reviews however.........I have to say I'm more than happy to do so on this occasion. Great food, excellent service you can ask for no more. The little extra touches make the dining experience feel a little more special which in this case (My mum's 70th) were greatly appreciated. I have no doubt I will be dining here again!
Excellent food, good service. We have been numerous times and the food has been great each time. A little bit out of the way but well worth going. Varied menu with specials.
Another fantastic experience at the Dunsforth. Amazing food as always. The service is second to none. A firm favourite in our house!! We are already planning our next visit!
Very nice meal thank you. Fish and chip portion more than generous. Maybe some background music not loud would have been good for extra ambience we were in the bar as we could take the dog which is a nice change
Been to the Dunsforth quite a few times now. Definitely a great place for Sunday lunch. Sticky Toffee Pudding is a must. Will definitely go back again for the a la carte menu.
One of our favourite venues - Still the best Sunday lunch around, excellent value ,staff great but lacking the presence of a good front of house.
The location was really nice, the staff very helpful and friendly and the food was very good quality. The only slight negatives were that the restaurant was quite cold (next time I'll wear a fleece or jumper) and the portions were on the small side (no excuse for this given the price). All in all though it was a good experience and we would visit again. We ate from the Specials board rather than the set price Sunday menu.
great food and staff who are engaged & interested, meal was perfectly paced with no long waits or stuff arriving on top of the previous course
Lovely food. Staff a little inexperienced but this added to the enjoyment of our evening. Will definitely return though for exceptional food in beautiful surroundings.
Great Sunday lunch. Good choice of food, beautifully presented and well delivered by the staff. Good value for a 3 course meal. Enjoyed the experience as always.
Pleasant surroundings and some nice ideas but we felt the food was over priced with starters at £7 minimum and mains at least £18 not including veg ,we had steak which was lovely but couldn't see anything that justified the £25 price compared to similar elsewhere. The deserts were original and tasty.
Excellent food, my wife had the£20 lunch menu, I had the steak. The service was spot on. The dining room was very comfortable and warm. We shall be back! Geoff Greenwood Nun Monkton.
Excellent food and service. Even put our favourite desserts on the assiette board to share when asked. Fire places lit added to the friendly atmosphere.
The atmosphere was fabulous. Excellent variety and quality of food and service. We will be booking again as will the friends who joined me for lunch.
Great food. Friendly yet professional service. Great selection of beers and wine. lovely place overall. So much so we visited again for Sunday lunch the following day
Fabulous as always, great value Sunday lunch with good service haven't found a better venue locally would definitely recommend. Presentation always fabulous and amazing desserts.
Great food, friendly staff and received a warm welcoming. Great ale selection, good atmosphere the place was very clean and spacious between tables. Didn't have to wait long for the food and child friendly too.
Good service however the food was not up to the standard offered when we last came for Sunday lunch. We will return again to see if it was a one off blip. Thanks for a great evening
Excellent experience, right from the moment we arrived at the door we were welcomed by cheerful friendly staff. Our meal was outstanding and really well presented. Well done to everyone
