Very accommodating this is my second time here at Dutchie for 2 birthday family meals. The food is tasty and the staff are friendly. Thank you Dutchie! X

Not impressed. Ordered curry goat and it was cold. Sent it back, and it was still cold when it came back. Sent it back again..Came back hot but full of bone. My date couldn't believe the poor service and referred to the surroundings as "ghetto". Have given Dutchie 3 tries and still disappointed with the slow, unprofessional service

I booked a table and was able to be seated much earlier than i originally requested. Considering the chicken didn't taste like it was BBQ it took long to arrive. All the food came out all on one plate even though we ordered separately so we had to wait for them to bring another plate over. Plantain slightly over priced considering you only get 2 slices. The drinks were nice but slow service...

Only down side for me was waiting for a table, other than that great atmosphere, family friendly, great music, great food and the staff are friendly. I would return.

We dined here as a party of 4, the atmosphere was great, and the staff were friendly. However, we unfortunately waited a while for the mains, but once they arrived it was worth the wait! The food arrived piping hot, and full of flavour. I had the oxtail, the Mr had the jerk lobster, our little one had the fried wings (starter) with chips, and my Mum had the stuffed steamed fish. We all had a taste of each other's dishes and they were all delicious, however the winner out of them all, was the steamed fish. There was so much choice on the menu- we'll definitely be back to try more dishes!

Good food and atmosphere. Only issue was we had to wait 35 minutes for our table that was booked for 8:30. Good service and friendly staff. Might be an idea to limit bookings to 2 or 2.5 hours. Will be going again

Food was extremely delicious! Had the oxtail, I was very pleased, spice and tenderness just how I like it! Ambience was lovely, good vibe. Waiters were warm and welcoming.. Waiting to be seated and served was awfully long!

Great food and lots of it for a minimal amount. My portion was enough for 2 people. Lovely cocktails I received 2 for the price of one.

Poor service this evening. Ended up going to Nandos to get food on time. Waited over 15mins and ignored by waiting staff. Such a shame as food is good but service needs to be improved.

A lovely place in the centre of Croydon, good polite service and nice food, (especially the sweet potato fries which were cooked to perfection). We would go again.

Good food, relaxed atmosphere and the waiting staff are always polite and attentive without being overbearing. And the 241 cocktails are an added bonus 😀

Food was tasty - bit disappointed as the pinkness of the Jerk Chicken, but overall a very nice meal. Service was great. relaxed, we were not rushed to pay and leave, even though the restaurant was busy. Will return.

A real gem. It’s like the Tardis, looks small on the outside but when you descend the stairs it’s surpridingly spacious with great atmosphere. The food is authentic, well presented and tasty. This was my 3rd visit.

The food was fantastic, the portions were great and the staff were very helpful. The only thing that I feel could be improved on is the furniture, I kept catching my jumper on the bench but other than that I will definately be returning there.

When we arrived they couldn’t find our booking. When we sat down the woman who showed us our table said she’d bring over a drinks menu. After 20 minutes, I had to ask for a drinks menu and call over someone for some service. 15 minutes later we had our cocktails. They were so small and looked like dilute drinks. Eventually, we were able to order to which the waiter was rude and made it hard for me to order an extra side?!!! After an hour of waiting for my food, it came. I didn’t manage to eat it all as I got full after drinking my drink. The music was loud and random people were coming into the restaurant for a drink or two and walking around near where we were sitting. The place isn’t that big for people to come in and waltz around espywhen people are eating their food. I asked for the bill and paid for what I had. No service charge was paid as I didn’t feel the service was good AT ALL! Won’t be returning to this restaurant unfortunately.

I heard about the Dutchie - I tried it, but the food could have been fresher - the Bob Marley cocktail was the best along with the oxtail - but that's about it really - don't think I'll be going back though 🤔

Loved the atmosphere, wicked cocktails! The service was good, but slow. The vegetarian options were limited & not tasty. Would recommend for all the positives above. Would have liked to hear background music.

I love the food there i just wish there was a Dutchie takeaway or restaurant in East Dulwich. We have a few Indian resturants, Chinese, Turkish, Italian and a couple of others but no Jamaican.

I do enjoy the food at The Dutchie but the waiting times are ridiculous and the waiters/waitresses barely crack a smile. It would be much better if the waiting time improved and the staff had more positive energy.

Young man in striped shirt was very professional and handled the situation very well with the amount of customers he had and the amount of things he was doing. Even after seating us he came and checked that everything was ok. Lovely food very good service.

This was my second visit to Douchie and the food was still of the same great standard as the first visit just after it opened. My guests really enjoyed the evening and food. The waiting staff are very young, polite and very well trained. Worth the journey from Eastbourne.

Arrived and the service was terrible. Took them 25mins just for a server to arrive and take drinks orders. Sharing platter arrived with no cutlery or plates. Took 4 reminders and 15mins to receive this by which time the food was cold. They run out of Jerk sauce on a Saturday night in a Jamaican restaurant! Took over 1h to receive main courses and they all came one by one with a 15min gap from the first to the last. That for a table of 6. The bill was completely incorrect as well and had loads of drinks added we didn't have. The worst thing was that it was my husbands birthdqay dinner and everyone was just super frustrated. We have been before but our friends haven't and they all came especially from London to celebrate. Absolute joke!
