Transplanting a little of the Ganges and the glacial cataracts of the Himalayas into Newark-on-Trent has been the business of The Everest Inn for some time. The verdict is clear – with a kitchen helmed by the masterful chef duo of Dev Banda and Khageshwor Kharel, Indian and Nepalese cuisines are represented at their peak, pun entirely intended. Located close to the river in the town centre’s Castlegate, The Everest Inn plays host to diners from all over Nottinghamshire and beyond. A busy restaurant at the best of times, an advance table reservation is highly – vertiginously – recommended.
Great food, excellent service. Good range of non meat items. Rice pudding is to die for. Service could do with speeding up but it was peak time Saturday.
Great quality food and excellent service. We were a party of 8 and were put on a square table which was so much better than the usual long table. Food was great quality
Very well presented restaurant with excellent food and great service. Well worth a visit if you like good curries ranging from the mild to the spicy.
We love this restaurant and, as always, we had a lovely meal in a great atmosphere. Attentive service from delightful servers added to the experience.
1stly let me say the food was lovely and always is, but there was only one person working so if you needed anything you had to wait while she finished serving another table and if that table was a large person table that took a while as was in our case, Also this was a company do and we choose the Everest because we get 10% discount unfortunately after we finished our meal they informed us the food we had chosen the 10% didn't apply! This information should have been given to us before we ordered. But as I say the actual food was lovely.
Excellent service throughout the entire meal, friendly and professional staff - they were happy to take a group photo, as it was a birthday meal. The food was absolutely delicious, everyone was very happy with the variety of food to eat, with all palates being catered for - vegetarian and meat eaters. Definitely would recommend anyone who enjoys Indian and Nepalese food to go and eat there.
We visited Everest for the fist time and was a little apprehensive, my wife and i were celebrating our wedding anniversary and wasn't sure whether the restaurant would be appropriate, our expectations were soon rewarded with very polite staff, a lovely ambiance and well presented delicious food. Overall our experience at Everest was excellent. We will pleased to recommend your restaurant to our friends.
This is a favourite restaurant of ours. I am dairy free and the chef is always happy to adapt dishes so that I am able to eat them. The food is exceptional (Hariyali lamb is a favourite of mine), the service is excellent and the staff very pleasant and welcoming. Highly recommend.
A restaurant that never fails to deliver.. A great atmosphere with attentive staff. My wife is a vegetarian, which can be an issue sometimes when restaurants have limited menus. This isn't a problem at The Everest Inn. They have a comprehensive menu.... The food is Excellent..... It's our favourite restaurant
We had a lovely meal. The food was delicious, the staff were polite and attentive. The menu offers plenty of choice, prices are reasonable and portion sizes are adequate for most people. This was not our first visit to this restaurant and we will certainly be back. Thank you.
