Very welcoming young staff on arrival, all chose the pies and very happy. Toilets were not attended to throughout our visit which was disappointing. Will return.

We visited for a birthday celebration today, our first time in a restaurant since before the lockdown, so we were a little nervous, but we felt really safe with all the safety measures and thought it was great how the owners are utilising technology to get orders made and make this experience nice and safe, the food was lovely as well!

Excellent .. as always food and service was superb .. can’t wait to visit again. Try the pie and chips - amazing !!

A perfect evening. 30 min wait for food was idea so could just sit and sip our fresh draft cider and enjoy simply being in a top quality pup again. Staff were lovely, thorough and attentive. Our chicken and beef pies were outstanding! We'll be going back sometime hopefully soon for sure (even tho we live in Bristol). Cheers!

Felt very safe, lots of measures in place to reassure you. Food was very good, menu was a bit limited than normal but that is understandable. Puddings were a bit of a let down though which is my only criticism, but on the whole a very good experience, thank you

First time out to dine in the ‘new normal’. Greeted warmly outside to have temp taken, shown to outside table of choice, drinks order taken. Tables good distance apart. We ordered one of their famous pies & a salmon salad. Friendly service and the food as usual didn’t disappoint. Great presentation & great taste. Would thoroughly recommend. Well organised and we felt valued & safe.

A group of us stayed for the evening and had an amazing pie meal. Awesome.

This pub is welcoming, cosy but bigger than you think. Four of us had one course each, 2 alcoholic drinks 4 soft drinks and coffees, green tea. Bill very reasonable £90. Two of us had pies, very delicious and you get a choice of pastry, carb and veg with good gravy. Then there was an order for a wagyu burger which went down very well and the steak skewers got a 10/10! Coffee was good, smooth not burnt. Staff were friendly, efficient but the place is very busy. We did have to wait a while for our food as pies are cooked fresh, but the ambience of the place meant this was not a chore. Ample parking, loos are clean and there is disability access if needed. There was a dog sitting with its owners whilst they had a drink, not sure if they are allowed into restaurant but they are obviously dog friendly. We would definitely visit again. Thankyou.

Very very slow service and overpriced food especially the pies that don’t have hardly any meat in. Staff are very inattentive and slow. Has changed massively from previous visits and change of mangers, Gone down hill sorry

The food was lovely; especially the pies. Little disappointed that a couple of our desserts we’re missed off. Service a little slow. But friendly staff and lovely playground. Would definitely recommend and return.

A reurn visit. I took visiting friends and we all thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the meal. Not fast service but it meant the meal was freshly cooked and we weren't in a hurry.
