We where 15 minutes late so lost our table. They did fit us in and we had a lovely meal. We will definitely go back

The waiter was really busy but he made time to help us through the menu. The rhubarb gin cocktail was wonderful as was his choice of the red wine. Hubby had the sirloin off the grill and the knife cut through like butter BUT the ribeye was very chewy! All in all I would definitely return. Well done x

Food is excellent service was great although a little slow to offer a drink on our arrival seemed a little distracted but overall well worth a visit .

Steak was over cooked and the £6.00 for three prawns complimented with half cooked chips enough said, I love this restaurant and have been many times all excellent but tonight couldn’t wait to leave

Fast service and amazing food!! Can't wait to go back again. My husband says it was fit!! We especially love the lamb it's the best.

Food only average, service ok, drinks expensive. It would not stop me going back here but it would not be top of my list as there are better restaurants in the town.

The Fire Pit has great food and a good atmosphere. The staff are helpful and friendly, I would highly recommend it. Central location - amazing steaks!!

Love the food, the staff and the cost!! Cooking your own steak is the best way to get the perfect meal. The wine is very good value

initial contact very good staff spot on. Then left 15 minutes for drinks to arrive and not right. Food very good ,again 18 minutes, this is 5.30, on a Saturday night not busy. . My impression, after watching manager, not running at full steam. Staff seamed to lack leadership he never left front desk and did not engage with any of the customers. Not a patch on Rawtenstall, expected better, overall average will try again just incase this is a one off.

The place looks grubby,tired and the food was just not good enough for the prices. As you walk up to the entrance look at the dirty kitchen door on the right, it doesn't get any better inside, Staff fine and friendly. The owners have clearly lost interest and the restaurant reflects this. Wouldn't be suprised if it closed if this decline continues. I wouldn't want my money invested in it.

We had absolutely fabulous fillet steaks on the stone - we all really enjoyed the experience. Will definitely try our local Firepit in Rawtenstall. All in all a good night.

Food was absolutely amazing but service was shocking. Expect to wait a while, get your bill mixed up and not be asked how food is or if you would like a dessert. Chef must be fab xx

Great service and lovely food with a lot of choice.

Loved the idea of cooking your own steak, but I felt left down with the sides, bit of salad and a few chips. Would have been nice to have option nice crispy salad or veg

Great steaks and friendly service. Certainly recommend the fillet steak on a stone. Even on a Monday night there were a few people in to give the place some atmosphere

Been here a few times and had great meals. Only giving 5 this time as steak was a little bit grisly this time. But will go again.

Great food. Probably one of is not the nest steak i have ever had. 10oz fillet is the way to go! You will not be disappointed

Fabulous food at the Firepit, we have been several times and always thoroughly enjoy it. Service is a little slow but the staff are very nice and well mannered so I dont mind the extra wait

The food was good as was the service. The music was a bit intrusive for this type of dining experience and didn't add to the experience.

Great place to eat. Nice setting and amazing food. Friendly staff ,large drink selection. A little pricey but what do you expect for quality ? I will eat here again and highly recommend.

Although the restaurant was quiet we had to wait an hour for garlic bread. The mains were another long wait and the quality of the food very poor.

The food and service was good, not excellent but good. the shared steaks on a stone was really good. However the sides of potatoes and chips were quite small proportions to share and the chips I thought had been reheated not fresh. The drinks were a little on the expensive side. The rest room facilities were not as clean as could be!

Seating too close to others dining. Ok food but above average prices. Some meals priced £12 higher than other restaurants offering same or similar. Not somewhere I would go back to. There’s equally as good food if not better for less in Southport

Service was poor even though the restaurant was almost empty. Seems that waitresses can not pour wine. Main wine waiter disappeared half way through the evening and was not seen again. So no one to top up the wine or ro check on any further drinks. The steak which came on the heated stone was already partly cooked, which meant it only needed about 30 seconds of further cooking as it was preferred rare. The rib-eye which was served cooked was mediocre and the request for medium cooking was nearer to well done, what should have been a juicy steak was quite dry. There are better steak restaurants for less money.

the service was slow and we had to ask twice for our drinks but the food was very nice and the staff were also very nice. the place was very busy so it wasn't surprising that the service was a bit slow.

Amazing food. Shame about the lax service, waited 45 minutes for a garlic bread. Staff spilt cocktail all over me without an apology. Won't be coming back!

A new and different experience for our friends who really enjoyed the night our third visit not disappointed Whilst finishing our meal the singer who was very good started singing but it made chatting very difficult and not having seen our friends for some time we had a lot to catch up on so we decided to move on but meal was excellent

Went last night for the first time and I can honestly say it was the best meal I've had! Staff were lovely and welcoming, food was amazing and restaurant is beautiful. Drinks menu is never ending so much to choose from, they also do amazing shots!! Jammy doughnuts, werthers original, popping candy and so much more. Already booked another table for next weekend! 10/10. Would definitely recommend.
