Good food and very pleasant service, will definitely visit again. The only negative was the phone which was loud and ringing most of the time.

Both main dishes (salmon and tuna) were excellent as was the starter (cod cheeks).

Lovely restaurant with a cosy atmosphere. Staff there were super friendly and helpful. Food was delicious. I would definitely recommend and will be returning.

All in all it was great, although for the price and where they are aiming the food (pretty high end), we didn't feel it came up to scratch. The squid tagliatelle for example, was overly oily, didn't have much taste and there was barely any squid in there. The scallops, although nicely cooked, featured mountains of bacon, which completely overpowered the dish. The fresh offerings were however very good (oysters), and nicely presented. Perhaps is was because we were the only table in on a quiet Saturday and the main chef (who allegedly was highly regarded) wasn't in. We also had to wait almost an hour from arriving until the mains arrived... and we were the only table in. Small things also like the fact that there wan't any vinegar on the table (and weren't offered any) for the fish and chips (or lemon wedges on the plate), and whilst the tables upstairs had freshly milled rock salt, we just had a shaker... sometimes it's the little things that add up to the whole. I'm really a bit sad as it's our local restaurant and we had really high hopes but with the A La Carte menu prices as around £10 starters and £16-£18 mains, i'm not sure i'd be tempted to go again or indeed recommend to anyone based on the food we had on Saturday.

Couldn’t fault a thing, the food was amazing absolutely amazing.

We'd been before and had good experiences, but last night was very different. Our starters were excellent but 3 out of 4 of our main courses were overcooked - not what you expect from a specialist fish restaurant... Our 1st course came quite quickly, but after that we waited for ages between the next 2 courses having to enquire both times as to whether we'd been forgotten! The staff weren't focused- we had to ask for cutlery after our 1st course - and there was no upbeat, cheerful atmosphere. This was not the good night out which we had been hoping for.

This was our fifth visit and each time is better than the last. The food was fantastic, excellent wines, lovely atmosphere and the service first class.

Great place to eat, nice interior, our third visit and food has been very good each time, interesting menu with some tasty combinations.
