When we arrived there were hardly anyone in the restaurant but still waited for 1/2 hour for our drinks. Ordered the roast lamb which was not tender, would say that it was over cooked to the point of having difficulty in cutting the meat. We ate there pre lockdown and the Yorkshire puds were definitely home made as they were huge and fluffy, the ones today were obviously frozen.

Fantastic service and food, as ever, at the Flower Pot. Would recommend without hesitation. On a very busy Mothering Sunday, the service was still first class. I was also very impressed that all the staff appeared to be under the age of 25. Great to see people of that generation both getting and clearly enjoying these opportunities.

Service was excellent as usual but the food was salty and roast potatoes were burnt. It was a shame as the rest of the food was lovely and great variety of vegetables. I also think dogs should be restricted to the bar area and not in restaurant area.

Food and service was very good as usual however my wife’s order was originally brought up to her incorrect, this was soon rectified my tip would be to write the orders down.

Staff friendly. A little mix up over what was ordered but resolved quickly and efficiently. Had the nachos as a sharing starter. Ridiculously huge serving and the tortillas were a bit bland. It was a meal on its own. Mackerel salad was excellent though tasty and fresh. Pub was buzzing and it was good see people out enjoying some freedom again.

The drinks service was good upon arrival however we waited a long time for our second drink and had to remind the serving staff. We ordered our starter which was very good but waited over an hour for our main meals. Again, we were only served our main meals after asking the serving staff again. The plates were also left on the table until we asked for them to be taken away. Usually very good but we won't be running back to the Flowerpot any time soon.

We had a really good time, the food was very good and the salmon was exceptional, so many places over cook fish but this was perfectly cooked, juicy and seasoned expertly. We had lots of space and were well looked after. The noise levels were just right and the staff friendly. There is a relaxed atmosphere and the food was ready very quickly.

Kerb appeal wasn't great when we arrived but as soon as we got into the restaurant our hopes were raised by the appealing decor and the lovely welcome from our waitress. Excellent service was followed by such delicious food that we sent compliments to the chef. No idea why this restaurant wasn't full - perhaps it was just the time we went, quite late for lunch. We will definitely go again as the menu offered so many things that I wanted to try. The Flower Pot is now on the top of my list of places to eat!

We had a lovely stay here. Our room was small for a family room but very comfy and adequate for what we needed. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Food was tasty but breakfast was a bit hit and miss and on both days. Parking wasn't on available on site however there is street parking available if your lucky. Thankfully we were, Overall we had an enjoyable stay! And would definitely stay again!

Lovely atmosphere, good choice of two cask beers (another one or two would be welcome!), and excellent food - grilled chicken & dauphinoise for me, and an angry pig pizza for my partner.

Great staff but not enough of them, food OK, nothing special. Dead flowers on all the tables, service slow. Will go back, with some TLC and more staff it would be a really good pub.

Have always liked the flower pot as a pub and never had a bad meal there but unfortunately the service is never great, this time around the pizza over was broken but wasn't informed until after my order was placed so had to then change the order and my friend who had told the waiter several times she is gluten free still had croutons brought out on her salad because he forgot to put it through on the order. In the past we have had to wait ages for food too. This place could be a gem if the service improved.

Friday night, very few staff (only 1 chef ?), a pub and yet had to wait 20 minutes for our drinks and then any drinks after that they didn't take the dirty glasses away unless we prompted them. 1 hour until starters came out. 2 of us ordered pie for main course and both pies were burnt. Menu said hand cut chips but these were thin chips obviously out of a freezer bag. Table next to us were complaining that their children had waited 45 minutes for some ice cream. Waitress kept knocking food off plates when coming through swinging kitchen doors. Looked like there was a man in charge but he avoided everyone and didn't try once to apologise to the customers which made everything worse. Waitress still pointed out to us how we could leave a tip through the card machine ! I kept waiting for John Cleese to appear ! It will be very interesting to see if the owners take their business seriously and try and make amends to those who had booked and were there on Friday 10th February - I won't hold my breath though.

Decided to spend New Years Eve here by enjoying the flower pots three course special menu. Our starter, Scallops with Chorizo was sublime as was our main course, Breast of breaded garlic chicken on a bed on mushroom risotto (portion size very generous which is rare these days). Our dessert, the almond cheesecake wasn't to our taste with too many almonds instead of the cheesecake mixture. The Trifle did look wonderful however. Most of the staff we encountered were very friendly and willing however we did find the barman quite stern with a lack of enthusiasm and ability to smile. We would go back most certainly and hope someone with a bit more warmth will be working behind the bar to engage with their customers.
