Such lovely food! We all ate more than we intended to because it was all so good. It took a little while for it to all be ready, but was worth the wait! What a great little secret by the river.
The food was absolutely delicious - clearly freshly cooked and home made - but the staff were rude and unhelpful. The service was extremely slow!
The food was delicious. We asked for more drinks and it took at least 15 minutes to get them. Our waitress had passed the order onto another waitress who forgot. Other than that it was a great experience.
A very pleasant visit good service and good food. particularly enjoyed the chicken pie wholesome and full of flavour. we will definitely come back to sample more of this delightful food.
Lovely staff, lovely room. Could have done with a light over the bathroom sink though, it's hard to see when the light is behind you. Meal in the evening was very tasty. Nice visit all round.
Lovely service and food, didnt have either main or dessert I wanted ( was unlucky as was the only 2 things they didn't have on whole menu! ) but the food I had was lovely. Nicely refurbed and plenty of space between tables. Lovely atmosphere. Food quality good too
It was very hot. Aircon did not appear to be on. No sparkling water available. Although only 1900 ran out of menu items i.e. Chicken Cacciatore. Waitress did her best under somewhat trying circumstances as she was really rushed off her feet. Food however was good.
Very god food and great selection of beers and wine the staff were also very polite and attentive I will definitely be back when I am next in the areal
Food order was wrong and other meals were not kept warm. Food was not if very good quality even the salad was not fresh, desert was burnt and in edible
Lovely meal, very generous portions and reasonably priced. Not much parking at the pub but plenty close by. Atmosphere was relaxed and the staff were friendly and attentive. Am planning to go back.
The food was lovely and well presented. The service was good and the atmosphere very welcoming and friendly. We had a lovely evening. Thank you
good food, good service, good price, good night ,polite staff good choice on the menu, nice little old pub with a buzzing atmosphere. must book first as popular.
The food was delicious, the setting was beautiful and the staff were efficient and friendly. I would highly recommend a visit and will definitely be going back!
Came in for our work Christmas lunch had a great time. Attentive staff and lovely food. Would recommend to anyone who is thinking of booking! Order the sticky toffee pudding!
very nice and friendly pub restaurant. good menu with a nice variety of dishes. most (everything?) was homemade, even the nachos (what is pretty rare), salad was fresh, value for money excellent.
Great setting, comfy interior, friendly staff and the food was great! My partner had the burger and chips, I had the spicy pizza and there were empty plates afterwards! Same with the ice-cream i had and the brownie for my partner. Would visit again
Lovely evening spent in good company, food was great and steadily presented. Atmosphere was lovely. Stayed the night rooms were very nice too. Overall a great experience.
The staff are very friendly. I arrived earlier than my reservation but was directed to a table immediately. The food was well presented and delicious
Great pub with a lovely atmosphere, good food and well priced. Set in an enviable location in Sunbury Village, will definitely be visiting again soon.
Very welcoming venue, clean, comfortable, good food - very reasonably priced - attentive staff. in all a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Would recommend highly and expect to return.
The food was amazing.. Now we wasnt happy with the service.. We clearly stated on the booking and as we were seated for the meal that we were going to pay using a taste card giving us 2 for 1 on the meals.. The flower pot is clearly stated on the taste card website.. At the end of the meal we were told that they did not accept the taste card as of 2 weeks ago.. We were not happy and had to pay the full price which we were not happy about.. Very poor reaction from the boss who didnt seem to care
The meal was to a high standard, the service was very good. I would certainly use the Flower Pot again. One of the best meals I have had in the area.
Service and staff awful, can't seem to cope when more than a few tables of customers. No wonder they issue 20% off vouchers by the dozen.
Lovely location right by the river. Rooms are quite quirky but really nice with some lovely little extras. Food was ok but the service not very good at all. Disappointed!
Service very, very poor, after waiting for over 1/2 hr they brought starters and main courses together. We sent the mains back and then there was a long wait again. One of the party ( we were seven) then received his food and we encouraged him to eat it while it was hot. He had finished it before the rest of us got our food. On the whole the food was good. The manager did offer compensation but our evening had been spoilt and I don't think we will go back again, which is a shame because it is the nearest pub to our home.
Although the Sunday menu was a bit limited we were impressed with the quality of our dishes. The duck platter was very tasty & the roast beef tender & perfectly cooked accompanied by an interesting, & garlicky, selection of vegetables
We went to the Flower Pot for a meal on the recommendation of a friend, and because it was featured in a good pub guide. However I was disappointed because the food was nothing special and quite expensive (mostly just fried stuff) and the place was completely dead (it was a Tuesday evening to be fair). Even though we were the only people eating we were not given a particularly nice table. It didn't occur to me at the time otherwise I might have asked for a different one - but I assumed the other tables might be booked (they weren't). So I would rate it as average and overpriced hence the 2 score.
The food tasted pretty good but was served cold and the burgers were a little too pink. Also a side which was ordered did not arrive at all as was forgotten.
Great size portions great food and nice atmosphere - we were accommodated late at 9:40! If you're in the are and looking for a nice pub but more than just pub grub I would recommend and only £36 for two starters two mains and a drink!
More of a Pub with rooms really. That said, the room I had was well appointed, having all of the luxuries of a four star hotel. Food was good too. The staff were very helpful, particularly Chrissy.
Had to wait ages for food and drink - only two staff waiting on and at the bar - when food came it was not as ordered and very average - pity as was birthday celebration !
The service was very good and the menu had plenty of choices. One of my party had the fish and chips and she said the hake was some of the nicest she'd ever eaten. The chicken pizza was quite bland but the thin crust was nice enough. We entered the quiz which takes place on a Sunday evening and really enjoyed that. Overall a pleasant experience.
Lovely staff. The food overall was very good except for the pie of the day which was a little over cooked and the steak filling wasn't as nice as before. Instead of nice chunks of steak it consisted of small thin slices. Having said that we will return.
Overall a good quality place. 3 out of the 4 of us had the lamb so this is why I'm marking it down - the lamb was not 'fall off the bone' - it could have done with being cooked longer and slower. The other point down was that the atmosphere wasn't as nice as I'd hoped. I would go again though - the wild boar pate and ginger was divine and the veg to go with the lamb also very good.
Friendly, helpful staff. Good food and service, would definitely visit again. The duo berry Eton Mess could have been improved with home made meringue but both the roast beef and roast lamb dishes were delicious.
A mixed bag, partially excellent, partially average. staff and location excellent. food, a little mixed. 4 had roasts, 2 commented how good they were whereas I found the beef a bit overdone and dry and the roasties a little tough. veggies were lovely as were deserts. my wife loved her burger. Would def go back for sunday lunch, but if looking for that "somewhere special", would perhaps try elsewhere first.
Food and drink 1st class service spot lovely relaxed pub
Good food, delay on starter, dinner came out while we were still eating our starters. We ordered a round of drinks which didn't turn up so we had to order them at the bar. At the end of the evening we paid our bill and the waiter came over to say we still owe the tip money which was excessive as only 3 out of 8 had dinner, not impressed feel it had a downer on the evening.
Very helpful staff. Menu was good as was the quality of the meals and drink
Very nice food and very friendly staff. The drinks were quite expensive but overall was a really nice fun experience. Will defe be coming back
