A New Forest favourite, The Foresters Arms – the donkey pub to locals – has had a makeover of sorts lately. Chic, rustic and homely, complete with a mix of tartan, exposed brickwork and antlers, this Frogham pub is quintessential British dining at it’s very best. Located on Abbots Well Road, The Foresters Arms boasts a menu brimming with all the favourites you would expect, from tasty sarnies, to seasonal favourites and pub-grub classics. In winter, cosy up by the fire, and in summer you can enjoy the garden and outdoor barbecue all while enjoying tasty, wholesome food, and an ale or two. Not far from Fordingbridge, this spot is one of the best in the area, so bring friends, the whole family and even the dog for a meal you’re unlikely to forget.
I treated my mother to lunch here, and the food was delicious. Mum said it was the best pub meal she had ever had. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we would not hesitate to eat here again.
Lovely food in a peaceful setting. Trying to eat my ice cream in the shallow 3 section bowl was interesting mind! Had to be careful it didn’t overflow whilst it was melting :D Even got to watch some New Forest ponies stop off for a drink before carrying on their journey :)
Lovely pub in picturesque village location. Friendly service and excellent food. Ladies, the loos are clean well maintained. Great beer, well kept. I will return!
