Best stifado anywhere in London (and rivals anything we had in Greece!) This is a favorite for us.

Felt as though we had been transported away from the London streets. Each dish was as tasty as the next... thank you!

Excellent "proper Greek" food at great price. Great retsina (many aren't) and real greek style whitebait (gavros). Having run out of greek beer, a waiter left the restaurant and bought some, but lack of choices of soft drinks on night we visited was a little disappointing.

House white wine insipid. Kleftico dish excellent but other kebab based meat dishes lacklustre. Maitre D's attempts at 'humour' fell very flat. Quite nice intimate dining setting but overall food and wine were nothing special.

Great starters, stuffed vine leaves, salad, sardines, grilled meat ( lamb, chicken) and veg ( tomatoes, onions) a bit charred, but tender, glass of wine was watery, good service

Food was not good, service was sub-par (very unfriendly server), ambiance was terrible (we were some of the only people in the restaurant). Also the wine that they served us had gone bad. Quite unfortunate because wanted to show my sister who was visiting London a good time. Will not be returning.

king prawn dish was quite nice but it was with a lot of garlic. the pace of delivery of dishes was appropriate despite many customers with only one chef.

Four of us went for a meal last night, we all enjoyed a very good Greek meal. The portions were large and tasty, the service was excellent. I would certainly return as there are many more dishes to try.

This is a good, Greek restaurant. The food was of good quality and the service was attentive. We went on the earlier side so it was not especially busy, but nevertheless the atmosphere was intimate and charming.

We've been meeting up at The Four Lanterns for our work reunions for a few years now and it's consistently good food at a reasonable price in a pleasant, informal setting.

I had bought a grouping voucher. On arrival to an empty restaurant we were told they no longer honoured the deal. Grouping were great and gave an immediate refund but how short sighted off Four Lanterns to not take our business as they were empty and we would have bought drinks with our meal too!

This is the 3rd time we have visited. No Really! I think the food is excellent and the friendly service is real not false as is often the case in London Restaurants. The boss, Michael is a real character and brings an essence of Greece to the experience...well done... and ...yes I am afraid we will be back.

Great restaurant to visit both for experiencing the owner's quirky and dry sense of humour (what a character) and great food at a very reasonable price. I can thoroughly recommend The 4 Lanterns if you want to experience a good, unpretentious restaurant in Central London.

One of the friendliest restaurants we've been to in many years, you are treated like a member of the family. Service is first class and the food fantastic. Definitely a place to revisit.

The Four Lanterns is a hidden gem, one of those places you stumble across and then keep on going back to....we have been several times and will surely return again. It's unpretentous, great tasty Greek food, wonderful service, and an engaging entertaining owner Peter, who doubles as a professional photographer at the drop of a hat... This and the retro Mateus Rose, makes the 4 Lanterns one of our favourite places in London!

Food was good but nothing exceptional. For a mid-week, pre-concert meal it ticked the right boxes. Staff were polite and attentive. Owner offered us a complimentary digestif. Not bad but there is better.

Small family run restaurant in a quiet London street. Food was delicious, freshly cooked and served quite quickly. When we arrived at 6pm, it was almost empty but soon filled up as space is limited.

Service was very good. Food was great. Nice atmosphere and not too noisy, so conversation was easy. The staff were friendly and helpful regarding menu choices. Even able to get the dish "spiced up" a little if you like it hot.

This restaurant was reccommended by other friends of mine so that I immediately made a booking with friends. The food was simple and tasty. Especially, fish was grilled nicely. The chef was friendly, too. I shall get back there agwin with other friends soon for grilled fish.
