Very welcoming staff. However interior was very dark so we chose a table next to window. Our order was taken and delivered very quickly but we waited a long time for our food. Meal was tasty and well presented but there was no sign of any onions in the onion gravy, in fact it reminded us of a ‘bisto granules’ gravy rather than stock based. Overall we felt the meal was very good value even though a little disappointing because of the gravy issue.

Lovely food, excellent service and a beautiful setting. A wide choice of food on the menu and good sized portions. Thank you for a lovely evening!

Good food but the barman was really grumpy and pretty rude. The outdoor play area was good for the kids. Would go again another time

The pub/restaurant is in an urgent need of refurbishment as it is like walking back into an old grotty pub from the 80s. This is such a shame as it is a very old and elegant building. We waited well over an hour to be served our food which was very poor quality. Waiting staff not at all attentive or seemingly trained in any kind of customer service. Place was dirty and furniture torn and old. On the whole a very disappointing experience. The plus point though is an excellent play area in the garden which on a sunny day is a real plus..

Reasonable pub food served in a very traditional setting. Wide menu choice and specials in addition. Bit quiet when we were there so lacked a bit of atmosphere.

Food was good. However service was basic. Unfortunately they did not push the main menu which was a shame as the set menu that supported our voucher was limited.

Dreadful. Dingy, unclean. Desserts refused chef wanted to leave to collect son at 2pm. Clientele told loud offensive “jokes” about gay people to passing customers.
